SO I WAS SO excited about testing it on my inew v3 . But unfortunately inew v3 recognizes it as an headphone (not headset).... And it records audio with internal mics.
The mic itself is fine it works great on pc or laptop..
Any ideas whats going on ??
I've took a picture of the microphone if you wanted to see it's 3.5 mm jack.
So any soloutions?
P.s: this is not the original model, but as this cheap knock off has been reviewed on youtube, it is supposed to work on smartphones.
You misunderstand how microphone works. Simplified, microphone is only reversed headphones (if you connect headphones to mic input on laptop, it will work like very bad microphone). So its normal that V3 detect your microphone like headphones
Inew V3 has CTIA jack connector, so it can works only with mono microphone, mostly integrated into headphones cable.
Im not sure if it will work, it depends how V3 detects headphones. If only by GND connection, there is a chance. You can made cable reduction by yourself. You need to buy Female 3,5mm stereo jack, Male 3,5mm CTIA jack and 2 wires. Now solder (or find some friend who know how to solder) GND to GND and HP-R on female to V-MIC on male. You can try it, connectors and wires will cost few bucks.
Here is pic with OMTP, CTIA and stereo jack schemes. Ignore OMTP, it connector used in older types of smatphones.
