noisy video recording - arobgan - 2014-02-17

Hi all.

when i use my phone for video recording, the video result have a lot of noise in the back....it is like the microphone was very sensitive ( I have yet tested both position in the configuration of audio)
I have 1.0.4 version .

Thanks in advance.

if by noise you mean audio noise, thats for all of us the same.
microphones of inew v3 unfortunately doesn't provide a good noise isolation feature. so thats why you hear a background sound in your videos like "SSSSSSS"

yes that is. So is not there solution ?

you can edit the recorded video to reduce audio noise via pc actually. (not really usefull and handy)
and maybe via some apps . which I don't have any in mind. maybe others know a better solution.

you could try and put a small piece of foam (like from packaging) over the mic to eliminate wind noise.
this problem is also quite common on cheap video cameras, so i wouldn't think a phone would do any better.

RE: noisy video recording - danyno1 - 2014-03-30

Today I received my external microphone that I've ordered a month ago.
SO I WAS SO excited about testing it on my inew v3 . But unfortunately inew v3 recognizes it as an headphone (not headset).... And it records audio with internal mics.
The mic itself is fine it works great on pc or laptop..
Any ideas whats going on ??
I've took a picture of the microphone if you wanted to see it's 3.5 mm jack.
So any soloutions?

P.s: this is not the original model, but as this cheap knock off has been reviewed on youtube, it is supposed to work on smartphones.

You misunderstand how microphone works. Simplified, microphone is only reversed headphones (if you connect headphones to mic input on laptop, it will work like very bad microphone). So its normal that V3 detect your microphone like headphones Smiling Inew V3 has CTIA jack connector, so it can works only with mono microphone, mostly integrated into headphones cable.

Im not sure if it will work, it depends how V3 detects headphones. If only by GND connection, there is a chance. You can made cable reduction by yourself. You need to buy Female 3,5mm stereo jack, Male 3,5mm CTIA jack and 2 wires. Now solder (or find some friend who know how to solder) GND to GND and HP-R on female to V-MIC on male. You can try it, connectors and wires will cost few bucks.

Here is pic with OMTP, CTIA and stereo jack schemes. Ignore OMTP, it connector used in older types of smatphones.

Isn't this easier solution ?

Mine is on the way and I will report if it helps.

RE: noisy video recording - zatycz - 2014-03-30

Its not solution, beacuse it only reduction between OMTP and CTIA jack and that will not solve that stereo mic is detected as headphones.

RE: noisy video recording - danyno1 - 2014-03-31

Thx for the information... I guess it doesn't worth all these efforts, because if i need to carry 3 things at the same to record a video... Naah it's doesn't come handy Sad
So I guess it won't work on inew v3 with a simple method..
I was so excited about it..
