...its obviously pretty easy to change the color now also if you'd like to do it.
Picture #4 shows some residue of that "glue" . It looks like some kind of silicone.
And yeah, it is pretty easy to change the color of home button now, if you wanna make some cosmetic changes on unusable phone .
If we look on problems so far:
- faulty charging module
- two versions of phone and you don't know which you're going to get
- manufacturer supports only one of them (kind of)
- GPS working but unusable in car (loses signal and incorrectly guides)
- often losing wifi and 3g
- practically no RMA
- phone is assembled with sticky tape ....
... this is not "cheap-ish" phone. It's actually pretty expensive.
If you ask me why I bought it then... well, because I was reading reviews on the wrong places.
Maybe my experience will help someone not to make same mistake. Or at least you can use it like tutorial for "changing the color of home button".
Helping other people is why forums exist, right? Or maybe your experience is one in 10,000 and convince them the phone is a very good deal for the price.
Google 'problem with samsung' or 'iphone problem'
what kind of support do you expect from a product bought overseas? What kind of support would a China man receive from a cheap product bought from your country?
regarding RMA, let's be realistic. This will depend on the shop you bought it from. If you dealt with one of our sponsors and want to return for RMA, please contact admin and we'll help you out.
@ahabec is correct. Just take it to an electronics shop and ask what glue or silicone might be best for your situation.
The v3 is not expensive. For the specs, it doesn't get any cheaper. Maybe next time consider buying a $400-800 Samsung or iPhone up the street so you can get the support you need.

Why should they even bother with making fully functional phone and
providing support for non-demanding customers like that ?
I understand now. I got what I deserved.
Thank you all !

I have a Fully Functional phone!
If you don't, send it back for repair - replace.
Do you think that the "branded" phones never broke?

I do a lot of smart device repairs and gluing the screen assembly down is nothing new. All iPod and Ipad screens are glued. The OEM glue is actually adhesive tape so to speak but I use Loctite Control Gel and it has never failed me, where as the adhesive tape has. I simply apply a moderate bead around the contact surface on the chassis side, press the screen on, run my thumbs all around the edges while applying liberal pressure, and hold it down as best as I can for a good 20-30 seconds. Done.
BTW, you can buy that glue at Sears.

^^^Check my post right above yours. You can either take it apart and completely re-glue it, which is best to prevent further issues, or just glue the affected area without disassembling.

I have not used the ultra, just the stuff that I linked. I haven't taken apart the V3 but I believe the how to was answered in this thread: [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]
Yeah that is always a possibility. You just have to be very observant of how things go together, the feel of things as it comes apart, and overall meticulous.

ok sorry for late reply, just im bogged down with exams and studying, so do you think i should go ahead and fix it myself, im not that bad with my hands and well i asked for a quote from the repair shop, they said itd be atleast 50 NZD (new zealand dollars) which is quite alot in comparison with the cost of the phone, i think i can handle it but i would say on a scale of 1-10 how comfortable i am would be 7, do you think i should go ahead,
thanks alot,
