Regards :-) I do have BusyBox installed and I've tried your way except flashing the ROM.
I'm on KK 4.4.4 remember? I've tried in recovery mode with SuperSU v2.46.zip, even tried SuperSU v2.52 beta. No success, it looks like is installed OK but after re-boot same thing all over again "SU binary needs to be updated" and is not happening. I think I'll give up, been on the try for more than 10hours. Maybe some other time when I have better knowledge of those things.
