[ROM] ECOO e04 Plus - VIBE Lenovo K3 Note porting

First, I'd like to say a special thanks to Cuoco92 (an italian developer) because the porting would has not have been possible without his valuable assistance.

Finally a rom WITHOUT OVERHEATING ISSUE (no need CPU downclock to solve overheating) !

INSTALLATION :
The procedure that you will have to apply to install the VIBE is a little cumbersome; however, if you will FOLLOW CAREFULLY the next steps, everything will works fine.

STEPS :

1) Download this ROM at the next link :

2) Download this TWRP at the next link :

3) Download this version of SP Flash Tool at the next link :

4) Download the VIBE zip at the next link :

5) Put the ECOO_E04_VIBE_Cuoco92_Cleo81.zip into your microSD.

6) Flash the Miui ROM (Format All+ Download).

7) Turn on your device ... be patient until the welcome screen of the Miui will emerge ... then turn off immediately your device.

8) Flash the TWRP 2.8.7.0 (load the scatter inside the folder and press Download only).

9) Turn on your device while simultaneously pressing the power button + volume up. You will see the display completely black and white lines of commands having microscopic dimensions; you will have to move to the first line using the volume + button, and confirm the command by pressing the volume -. You will enter into TWRP custom recovery.

10) Tap on WIPE, tap on ADVANCED WIPE, put the check mark on Dalvik Cache, System, Cache, Data and Internal Storage. DO NOT PUT CHECK MARK ON MICRO SDCARD !
Then SWIPE TO WIPE.

11) Return to the main menù, tap on INSTALL, select storage (micro sd card), tap on "ECOO_E04_VIBE_Cuoco92_Cleo81" zip ... then SWIPE TO INSTALL.

12) BE PATIENT until the welcome screen of the VIBE will emerge.

13) You can see the main screen, the partitions and the advanced options (added by Cuoco92) in the next screenshots :



14) Connect your device to wi-fi and do the updates immediately (also Asus digital clock).

15) FIX SD CARD: Run Nextapp SDFix apk and reboot.

16) FIX IMEI: Run Chamelephon apk, write your 2 IMEI, tap on "Apply new IMEIs" and reboot.

17) FIX "NVRAM WARNING: Err = 0x10" (in Wi-Fi): tap on "Settings", tap on "About phone", tap on "Status", look under "WLAN MAC address" and sign the MAC address on a piece of paper. Then, run ChameleMAC apk (in the space reserved for the MAC you will have to write the MAC address just copied on the paper), tap on "Apply new MAC" and reboot. You will see that from the list of Wi-Fi available disappeared "NVRAM WARNING: Err = 0x10". In the next screenshots you can see the Wi-Fi BEFORE and AFTER ChameleMAC apk :



18) Install "Uni-Init v 1.0" apk, tap on "Activate" and wait until "Done!", tap on "Verify" and wait until "Success", then reboot.

17) XPOSED FRAMEWORK : download xposed-v80-sdk21-arm64.rar and follow the steps in the txt (inside rar); after installation tap on "soft reboot". You will find it at the next link :

IMPROVE THE DEVICE PERFORMANCES - HOW TO

1) Install "Disable Service" apk and disable the next System services :

Bubbles, Lenovo Launcher and Theme Center.

2) WLAN optimizations: tap on "Settings", tap on "WLAN", tap on up right (3 full stops), tap on "Advanced", and disable "Network notification", "Auto Join", "Scanning always available" and "WLAN binding".

3) CPU SETTINGS - STRONGLY RECOMMENDED : Unfortunately "3C Toolbox free" doesn't works, so I suggest you to purchase "3C Toolbox Pro" (the developer of 3C Toolbox Pro deserve the money for his dedication and hard work). After the installation of "3C Toolbox Pro" don't forget to enable it on "Modules" (Xposed Framework) and reboot. Then, tap on "3C Toolbox Pro", tap on "Manage", tap on "CPU Manager", set "Interactive", then tap on "Governors" and set the parameters like in the next screenshots (don't forget to save the settings tapping on the icon emphasized by the red arrow) :



4) BATTERY DRAIN - HOW TO MINIMIZE

It's STRONGLY DISCOURAGED to use "Power manager" ( "Battery saver" and "Background app management" ) of VIBE Lenovo K3 Note; it doesn't works well and apps like WhatsApp doesn't receive notifications !
I STRONGLY RECOMMENDED to install "Greenify" apk (2.7.1 stable or 2.8 beta). Don't forget to enable it on "Modules" (Xposed Framework) and reboot. Then tap on it and hibernate what you want (above all "WhatsApp", "Gmail" and"Google Play Store"); if this message will appears "sorry, system app is not safe to be greenified in general", tap on "insist". Don't forget to enable the next "Experimental features" (see the next screenshots) :

FIXED THE NEXT ERRORS on ECOO_E04_20150528 Stock Rom :

- Unable to find partition for path '/sdcard'

DO NOT INSTALL ANY APK INSIDE THE RAR UNTIL I TELL YOU TO INSTALL IT.

First step:
1) Install AdAway apk (inside APPS rar); it is useful to block the ads in the apk of the second step.
2) Tap on "download files and apply ad blocking".
3) Tap on "YES" (reboot).

Second step :
1) Install Busybox Checker_v2.0 apk and open it
2) You will see the next 2 issues :
-busybox tmp-mksh: [4] : head not found
-su tmp-mksh: [6] : head not found

3) You will find how to fix those issues in the third step.
Third step :
1) Install BusyBox_v1.24.1 apk (inside APPS rar).
FOLLOW CAREFULLY THE NEXT STEPS :
2) Tap on the apk.

3) Tap on REMOVE and tap on OK.

4) Old BusyBox removed.

5) Tap on INSTALL and tap on OK.

6) New BusyBox is installed.

7) Tap on Busybox Checker_v2.0 ... you will see that everything is now OK.

Fourth step :
1) Copy the file "term-init.sh" (inside APPS rar) ... DO NOT COPY the folder but only the .sh file.
2) Paste it into your external SD.
Fifth step :
1) Install jackpal.androidterm apk (Terminal Emulator for Android) inside APPS rar.
2) Open terminal emulator.
3) Please see the follow screenshots before to type any command.

4) Type the next commands:

#su (grant root access when prompted) ... and press ENTER.
#sh /storage/sdcard1/term-init.sh ... and press ENTER.

5) The script will execute, now just follow the instructions showed.
6) Type reboot.
7) The program suggest to reboot at least twice before checking into /data/Test.log


Sixth step :
1) Copy the BETA-SuperSU-v2.67-20160121175247.zip (inside APPS rar) into external SD.
2) Reboot Recovery (Settings, More, Cuoco92 Advanced Settings, Reboot settings).
3) Install zip (Install, Select Storage, tap on SuperSU zip, Swipe to confirm Flash).
4) Reboot System.
5) See the next screenshot :


Seventh step :
1) Tap on Root Explorer.
2) Tap on System folder.
3) Tap on ETC folder.
4) See the next screenshot :

5) In the red rectangle you can see the INIT.D folder made by term-init.sh
6) Do not touch or delete the files inside yellow, green and orange rectangles.
7) Tap on the INIT.D folder.
8) You should see the 3 files in the next screenshot (made by term-init.sh and the new SuperSU) :

I flash the ROM from the first post/method , and the overheating is still there.
After I read the second method to go on 3C Toolbox Pro and to tap on the circle two times to INT and I try it , is say Operation failed.
