Can you do a test for me and turn on "GSM only" on both SIMs and see if you're able to still get a signal? I believe Rogers is 1900 GSM. If connecting there, then the site should be correct and the box incorrect.
Can you also confirm what the back of your box says for frequency support (eg, GSM 900/1800). Just want to make sure there aren't different versions of the phone going out.
