Received my phone yesterday and everything worked well. Sim 1 (local) registered automatically but sim 2 (3 Mobile UK roaming) had to be registered manually. Woke up this morning and switched off wifi but mobile data wouldn't switch on at all. Rebooted the phone and now none of the sims will register on any network either manually or automatically. This sucks big time.
I've gone to the MI forum and see others with this problem but no overall solution. I'd registered an MI account so my sim is activated in their system and had no issues until this morning. Any help will be much appreciated.

Was data working yesterday? Have you put the global ROM? Shouldn't make a difference with networks, but might be worth a try.

Why not post it in the Xiaomi forum here? :/ That MI forum is a waste of time and space.
Mi account has nothing to do with SIM, so it was likely the VoLTE switch.

Ah, okay. Thought you figured it out yourself. Misread your post.

This is very strange. You mean when you turn off and turn on it needs to be done every time? Which ROM are you on?

That sounds like one of the "special" modified ROM. The latest official Global is 7.1.8.0 and latest CN 7.2.2.0.
I would try to flash the official Global. It probably won't work through recovery. Will probably need to flash through download mode. Not a big deal. You can try through recovery first, or save some time and just do it through download mode.
