Awesome! I registered minutes ago to the forum to try one of the many ways to do this mod (found this thread googling). I have a bluebo b9002 and the tutorial plus the tool posted by Burs are the only ways that has worked for me in weeks, tested right now and it worked perfectly in a few minutes. Thank you for the help!
hello, I copied both EBR1 and EBR2 in same folder. My EBR1 file is 1 KB and EBR2 file size is 512 KB, when I am using EBRTweak is giving the error EBR file not found or file that means it doesn't work as I have EBR1 file size is 1 KB ? any solution plz ?

I wondered rather than removing the 2nd partition and making one, would it be possible to make the first partition say 30Gb in size and the 2nd one use the remaining 2Gb (or there abouts). And then just not format the second partition so it doesn't show?
sorry for very late reply.
i have zte n986 which has two firmwares; first version have 2 EBR files and second version had one EBR file. AFAIK, if we want to change from two EBR into single EBR, first we must modify current scatter file with the right hex position of current nand memory and then format our nand using SPFT. and lastly, we need to recompile our kernel to match with latest partition. because partition layout is hard coded into kernel source code. this procedure could hard brick your device. thanks for this guide. i can confirm that it works on my MT6572 with ebr1 and ebr2 with 512 bytes each, matches well with criteria. i now have 2.5gb /data partition. will fill it up soon and see if there will be issues. thanks again.
awaiting mod/tutorial/guide for single EBR mediatek, i have 2 units

The value is different from this tutorial, and that's why Meteos repartition tools are not working properly in my device.
Your current size is: 0x00438000 ie 4423680 sectors (* 512) = 2264924160 bytes = 2.109375 GBytes
For every 0.5 Gbytes you must add 0x10 to 0x43 of EBR1 (01ec position), for example if you want 1 other Gbytes, add 0x20:
I have Symphony W128 with 4gb internal memory which is MTK6582 phone. I think my ebr is non standard. Here I am posting my both ebr's. Can You please increase internal partition to 2.5gb approximately?
P.S.: I have changed the extension to txt for uploading purpose.
Hey is anybody having a problem with the phone storage becoming corrupt after so long my star hd5000 works with this mod modified so that the 8gb ROM now has 2gb for apps but the internal phone storage its self becomes corrupt after so long the minute you turn the phone back on or restart the phone
