This firmware is based on V3-E Stock 1.0.3 from 10-JAN-2014 with working OTG

I won't be adding this to Needrom. This is for Chinaphonearena users only. Feel free to upload it to the fileserver of your choice so we can add some mirrors, but make sure they're direct download links or lead directly to an easy download.

I put several hours into this firmware because I wanted to double check and make everything was solid. I also rebuilt the recovery from the one that was included with 1.0.3 in case there were any changes made. Not a difficult task. Just everything combined added up. I'm sometimes a bit OCD as well with checking and re-doing things. Let me know if any issues.

- Rooted
- 3.5GB internal storage / 10.5GB phone storage
- (NEW) Newest FULL Touch Recovery CWM 6.0.4.4. This recovery is safe to factory
reset with. It won't format /system unless you select option 1.
- (NEW) Boot sound bye-bye
- (NEW) 2 Chinaware removed - smsreg and sharedstoragebackup
- (NEW) Root Explorer app included as part of /system

Otherwise the ROM is completely stock. No add-on junk.

- EBR for 6.0GB internal storage / 8GB phone storage
- (NEW) Stock EBR
- (NEW) Full scatter (for flashing USRDATA and CACHE if needed)
- (NEW) Full expiremental scatter (if any errors when trying to flash, please try to use this scatter instead)

To use these, just direct SP Flash Tool to the corresponding files in the 'Extras' folder.

Instructions

- (Optional) Backup apps and data with Titanium, or with CWM that has the option to restore /data only - Note: For those who want to try it, you can just wipe /cache and dalvik instead of factory reset at the end. This firmware won't flash over your /data, but not wiping /cache after the install will likely cause an issue with boot. If you want you can do try this (Flash firmware > boot into recovery > wipe cache only > reboot). You must be using the 3.5GB EBR on your current ROM for this to work. If you're using stock EBR or any other EBR on your current ROM, you must factory reset at the end.

- In SP Flash Tools, select 'scatter loading' and choose the scatter in '!Files_To_Flashtool' folder extracted from the ROM download
- Turn off phone
- In SP Flash Tools, Click FIRMWARE -> UPGRADE. If you want to leave your current recovery/EBR or anything else unflashed, then unselect what you want left alone and use 'DOWNLOAD' instead of FIRMWARE UPGRADE.
- Connect phone - If the ROM upgrade doesn't start, remove your battery for a second, then put it back.
- Boot into recovery and factory reset
- (Optional) Restore apps and data with Titanium or 'Advanced restore' /data only with CWM recovery. Do not do a full CWM restore, you will lose your new firmware and be back to where you started.

Hi im new to the site so hello, i came here because of the v3 and because of the review on here i bought it. Its my first android in a while so it took me some time reading up about rooting etc

I flashed it last night with the stock new v1.0.3 rom through sp flash tools and my question is with this custom rom is there anything different to do.

I have a v3 that I got with 1.0.1 without the bag in otg and setting the date / time. I do not know whether to upgrade to 1.0.3, I am afraid to take the error in the date. What enhances this version?

No. This ROM format is suitable only for flashing through SP Flash Tools. Unfortunately.
EDIT:
Regarding root, if you flash rom from this thread, you don't have to root your phone, since the rom is pre-rooted.
Other alternatives are flashing [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register] through CWM.
You can also root using this [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register], but you'll most likely be stuck with KingUser.

I would recommend you to go ahead. It won't break your OTG functionality. And regarding date/time bug, it's highly unlikely you will experience it if you don't have it already. But for those who say "never say never", you can always revert back to old rom.

You can also consider installing Xposed framework and Gravity module which fixes date/time bug in all cases. And you can also change many many other things with it, and after you see its true power, that's the first thing you will install on any future Android smartphone The only "downside" is that you must be rooted in order to install it. But all power-apps have that as a prerequisite. So, give it a try!

It's been about 3 weeks that I'm on this rom ,
this week this thing happened... TWICE :
my internal memory (10.5 GB) damaged for no reason and I had to format it.
any idea?

Hi.

My problem is, that when i update and reboot the phone, then the Android is stand by on "Starting application". I put out the battery after i waiting for the load, but not happend nothing, just "load".

So, i just in a BOOT LOOP, and i cannot do nothing, just SP Flash Tool. But it isn't good, bacause from one of the massage is VRAM error. I dunno what i do.

Now i can't switch on the phone. What i do?
