If the screen does not go off, it will continue working.
Still wondering whether to buy a different brand or 16gb but will it still be the same?
Still no one else seen this problem or know a fix? Any other ROM's to try?
I'm wondering about what you say that "no one else has seen the problem". Could it be that for some odd reason your phone might have a damaged sdcard module?
I havent found a single person complaining about it. Except a Elephone Mini 7 phone user on a spanish forum...
I have the same basic phone, a Mlais Mx28+ with a 16 GB class 10 and never had any problem as of yet. My msd card's brand is LEXAR.
Still i am going to try to help again. Check the attachment i provide and try to "underclock" the card to a 2048KB cache. But remember, do it only to the sd card. NOT to the internal memory.
Yes it could be my phone is faulty but the 8gb cards work fine as do the 32gb all day long until phone goes to "sleep" and then wakes up. As I said, I have tried different cache sizes, so that does not help. Increasing the cache isn't really underclocking the card though, although I see you put underclock in quotes. The seller has assured me that the phone works perfectly ok with 32Gb cards, even class 10.
As you may know it is a well known problem with many Android phones. There are literally thousands of posts for Samsung phones for example, although they get errors about sd card unmounted. Sandisk cards had a specific manufacturing issue just last year causing this error.
Do you have a link to the Elephone Mini 7 thread? Doesn't matter if in Spanish.
If I'm stuck with 8Gb so be it. My phone is not going to be repaired/replaced. Just trying to get any more info. I can before deciding on trying a different make of card. It might just be something specific about Integral cards, power saving?
Anyway, I won't post any more about it, if no one else has the problem.
Hmm, there are conflicting spec sheets for your phone -- others claiming to support 16GB uSD, others 32GB.
It looks like it is a card specific problem. If the 32GB Integral card has a large built-in capacitor, and the phone's decoupling cap is unable to prevent a voltage dip, it is possible the sd card identification does not even get past the reset routine. (I think the typical protocol is to run sd initialization every wake up)
If this is not the case, it could be that the sd card responds erroneously causing the phone to recognize an invalid card. This is less likely though, because as you mentioned, the card works on boot up.
Either way, I think you really need to get another card. As to deciding which brand, it would be hard to tell which will have the best response with your phone. Try asking other users with the same phone what brand they use. But definitely keep it class 4 and below.
Also, I don't think it is an issue to post about it if no one else has the problem. If you do find a solution, please update your thread for others who may experience this.
