INSTALLATION STEPS :

1) Above all download and install the OTA V16.0_20170609 :



After barely managing to find the OTA zip, finally I have found the it

The OTA zip is in a non-conventional place/path. I wish to share it with all.
Maybe some developers might be interested to it.

2) Tap on Settings --> About phone --> Tap Build number seven times.
Developer options --> OEM unlocking enabled and USB debugging enabled.

3) Download SuperSU v2.82 zip and BusyBox 1.26.2 zip at the next link :

4) Unrar the rar. Copy the 2 zips onto your microSD.
5) Open SP Flash Tool.
6) Unrar U7_Plus-TWRP_3.0.3-NEW.rar
7) Load the scatter file inside the folder.
8) Select Download Only option.
9) Click Download.
10) Connect your turned off phone to the pc with USB cable.
11) Disconnect the USB cable.
12) Enter onto twrp recovery (volume up + power buttons simultaneously).
13) Select the first white line and press volume down.

VITAL STEPS :

14) Tap Install, Select Storage, Micro SDCard, OK.
15) Tap on SR1-SuperSU-v2.82-SR1-20170608224931.zip
16) Swipe to confirm Flash.
17) Tap on Reboot.
18) Tap on the icon of SuperSU to activate it.
19) Repeat same steps for Busybox v1.26.2 zip

I strongly recommend you to install the next apk (root required) :

It is useful to avoid to press volume up + power buttons to enter onto twrp.

What is happening? I downloaded OTA and would install it and ended up recovering and can not get into the program. Every time I try to start the phone, I get into recovery. And it's 3.0.3 that I have but I can not start the phone so it's possible to call it ??????

You cannot install the OTA update with TWRP recovery and rooted phone !

STEPS TO DO BEFORE to install the OTA update :

1) Flash the old Nougat firmware (Firmware Upgrade option).
2) Tap on System Updater icon.
3) Download the OUKITEL_U7_Plus_V16.0_20170609 OTA
4) Install the OUKITEL_U7_Plus_V16.0_20170609 OTA

Hello,

I'm sticking with Marshmallow because I need xposed, and the gains from Nougat are not greater than the losses from no xposed, I'm on Cleopatra's last/latest marshmallow update .zip and TWRP 3.0.3 from needrom. All is working fine EXCEPT... I cannot restore ANY backup from TWRP.
Majority of the time an error is 'invalid argument' to do with no system, or not mounted, can 'fix' the system or change the file system within TWRP and try to restore, then restore just system and that wont boot either.
Can flash the rom and update again and restore data and THAT boots fine but everything goes wrong once installed as I have all google removed, and microG and xposed.
Have a ported AICP rom that also isnt booting from TWRP but I dont know if thats the rom or something else, as the stock rom backup wont boot either. Have tried:

Straight restore, no wipes
restore, full wipes, reboot
full wipes, restore
full wipes, restore, dalvik
suzip, restore, reboot
restore, suzip, reboot
Reflash firmware, restore all
reflash firmware, restore data (this boots but is so modified it is unusable)

And various combinations of these. Any help greatly appreciated

Check marks only on Nvram, Boot, System and Data.

Restore steps :

1) Tap on "Wipe".
2) Tap on "Advanced Wipe".
3) Select Dalvik/System/Cache/Data/Internal Storage BUT NOT Micro SDCard.
4) Swipe to Wipe.
5) Return to main menù of TWRP.
6) Tap on "Restore".

I have another issue...

I've lost my IMEI numbers somehow, On the last marshmallow, and I have nvram.img backed up, changed scatter file to 'true' and changed the file name to 'nvram.img' but it isnt backing up with spflashtools, and engineer mode has no CDS to change it there.

Any ideas to try and fix this?
