Hi! In what menu of MTKtools I can find information about display driver version?

Open the application on your computer, plug in the device and when it loads the phone information, you will see that the program requires root access to get the display driver version. If you scroll your mouse over the root button, it will get temporary root to get the information for you. It should match one of the drivers on the list and then you should know whether it will work or not.

I plan on looking into that later, But the problem also is the sensors , not just the lcm , wrong sensor driver will give a black screen, But that can maybe be bypassed as we have kernel an kitkat libs, I wont know untill i dig deeper into it

Personally i have HX8394a type version . You can check yours with mtktools . Confirmation drivers just aren't included in with release .

Yeah, I also seem to have the NT35512.

According to somebody on needrom, they have a method to always get it working. That is on the stock link though, and the rooted custom version, says the same as above. Considering whether to try and flash it today and hope for the best. Chances are probably none to get it up and running.

I highly doubt it would work as the drivers just aren't there , But if you are going to, you could make a backup in recovery, Flash it , If it doesn't work, just restore your phone .

I don't know why the drivers aren't there tbh, iNew seems to do things backwards, There is other phones with the LCD running kitkat, Star note etc using the same driver NT35512 and it is even in the kitkat source , unreal they wouldnt add it in.

Can you please give me a confirmation on which phones have the NT35512 screen driver that has Kitkat? I want to download the firmware and see what I can do. Drivers normally mean Kernal and since the Kernal is not open source, not sure whether it is even worth trying to merge the firmware to support the screen.

I can't of the top of my head, But when i am at home later i shall send you a PM with a few, I have downloaded that many roms over the last month it is just insane

You could also do a quick google search for mt6582 NT35512 while you wait, alot of the s5 clones also use this driver .

Sorry I am new to all this, my phone has the following according to MTK droid tools 1 -1lg_hx8394_vdo, does this mean this rom will work ok on my phone, if any of you guys have tried it is it ok? or have you had any problems. Thanks.

That is the same as my display, So it is compatible. But read the how to, and read it again .

Make backups before you flash anything, especially IMEI , and learn how to restore it before attempting to flash .

The process is pretty straight forward but don't just jump into anything
