Greetings. I've a Haier w910 chinese mobile phone - my first Chinese mobile phone. Shoot, my first smartphone! Mind you, I came upon a tablet just a fortnight before the phone, so I've grown somewhat savvy to the Android features. Tis a Hisense sero 7 pro tablet, like any other tablet and any other smartphone, me thinks.
The mobile phone doesn't connect well enough to the computer for me to access the SD card, you know, put videos, pics, apps-to-sideload-on-the-phone. When first connected to the comp, the PHONE says USB debugging detected. The computer pops a window that says "Open device driver". I thought it would be a plu-n-play phone, but nay, tis a driver thing. When I try to open the driver icon it doesn't show any SD card or folders, just driver setup. It doesn't provide an option to make any folders.
I live in a place where they filter MANY websites, including Google's App Store, so I need to sideload apps. I say, I prefer not to root this phone but, at any rate, will that solve the problem? I heard if I root it, it may take the languages away. I use many of those languages, many of them. Does upgrading the ROM mean rooting it? Any alternative options?
The tablet is so easy, just plug into the computer and start loading apps on the tablet's SD card. ANd viola!
