This is my case: it's red when low on battery, when charging or have missed a call, and green when I receive a message and some other notifications (and maybe when it's charged? Or it goes off completey I can't remember).

Weird... Its all the time red on my inew v3
Maybe its because of my firmware version which is stock 1.0.1 . i have not updated my phone... I'm waiting for the next firmware update.

Well for all if us it's the same way.
Nothing on the box or manual or on the body of the phone says V3-E
It's on the digital id of the phone. Like when you use antutu or even on google play. They recognize oir devices name as V3-E
But my phone has the red nfc logo on the rear cover.
I think thats no big deal. It's like they had two type of rear back and when they ran out of the first source (with nfc logo) they used the seccond type without nfc logo
Its just a printable logo. No big deal

maybe others want to look and verify?
Mine is also "pure V3" without NFC logo or pointing arrow for the pins, and your app also shows me it can to red only. But I remember the LED was green one time, but don't remember in which app? btw, maybe the green is not really green, maybe it's reversed polarity for the red like someone said. So maybe you shouldn't send "green id" as parameter to the API, but something like "-red"? I'll try to install some other LED apps, maybe they have some color features which can be configured.
