Tryed it and it worked. I also needed a differen verson of flash tool. Some bugs With the one I used first. Now the New rom i loaded. Thanks alot!!!

Which version of flash tool did you use? I also have problem with windows8 and installing the driver. Thanks for your reply.

It's a sign driver trouble....
try this metod:

Too simple:
Find a PC with win7 or xp, once you have root and recovery you don't really need Flashtool anymore.

Meaning? I have root and recovery on bricked phone. What should I do? I keep getting the error BROM ERROR : S_DA_SOC_CHECK_FAIL (3013)

Even I tried each and every method available in internet but Mobile uncle is not working and giving security error if I try to boot to recovery and SP FLASH Tool is unable to flash anything to my D686 ... its always at 0% even after following each step precisely

PS: I am still trying different methods as the method provided by you was not not successful after lots of trial... sorry for troubling you but thanks for taking interest in helping us. I was a Samsung Galaxy Ace user and it was very easy to flash CWM recovery and ROMs into that device but LG D686 is making me nuts...
Now I have even tried on Win7 X64 with SP Flash tool and 'Flash Tool' provided by MediaTek themself also with the tuorials provided on Chinaphonearena forum ... but none worked... Really LG engineers have done something to their MediaTek devices ... :/

Hello everybody!
What is happening with my USB VCOM Port? As yours can see in the video, I plug the S4-MT6572 usb with the phone switched off and without battery. Then the USB VCOM Port are identified, but then they disappear, even without removing the usb cable... and this is repeated ever and ever...

PS: All device drivers have been installed

i've just gotten my hand on a Stock Rom for iOcean X7S (thanks to Liver), but i cannot seem to be able to install it with SPFlash Tools, which i think it has something to do with the USB Vcom Drivers that don't get installed correctly, thus whenever i press Firmware Upgrade and connect my phone, SPFlash Tools crashes after a couple of seconds with a red bar.

My question is, can i use CWM and Root to install this Stock Rom through CWM? Os does this Rom only work with SPFlash tools?

And if i can, how do i convert the rom from SPFlash tools to CWM?

Normally, ocurr apear and desapear conexion when the cable USB that we use is bad quality. I had a similar trouble flasing ROM past time. I did cable USB change by another one of better quality and i solved the problemas.
You can do that..

The VCOM driver is now correctly installed. Only problem now is the error Message in flashtool when i try to flash the rom.
BROM ERROR : S_COM_PORT OPEN FAIL (1013)
(COM) Failed to open COM 5
When i Connect the phone the "PreLoader USB VCOM" port comes on for a few Seconds, then dissapeare,[/php] is this correct?
