[Question] Innos Random Reboots

I have an Innos D6000 that does random reboots, I have noticed that the period between reboots varies considerably depending on what GSM mode you use and if you have data/WiFi on.
Most interestingly when I am out of mobile range for days on end the phone does not seem to reboot (up to 7 days continuous operation)
I am located in Australia and use both the Optus and Testra network.
It looks to me that the reboots are happening because some apk/service is accessing the internet and the mobile radios are maybe switching between different frequencies, can anyone confirm this?
I am currently on the 2.6 version Russian ROM, but before I had the 3.4 Chinese ROM. I am sure that the Chinese ROM worked better after I disabled most of the services associated with the OTA updater, again can anyone confirm this?
The phone is trying my patience but I would still like to persist as when it is working it is a great phone.
I would also like to mention that I run the Orux Maps tracker a lot, hence when the phone reboots the tracker stops and that is a big nuisance.
Regards,
Martin

Had reboot problems too while using 4g or when the phone heats up too much.
May actually be because of the heat affecting performances, or more because of lack of performances itself, since this seems to be the common point for all those random reboots in my opinion.

For me it's nothing to do with heat. It's happened a couple times when plugging in to charge. By a couple times, I mean like twice. And then randomly a couple times. I think have experienced it maybe 6x or so since I've had the phone...About 9 months I guess.

The reboots happen even when the phone is not doing any thing, like at night, the only thing that I noticed is that it goes for 5 days or so when there is no mobile coverage. I might try one SIM only, as my Optus and Telstra SIMs use different 3g frequencies.
With regards, to the over heating, I have tried some CPU checking apk, it made the CPU work really hard and the phone got quite hot after a few minutes, but it did not reboot, I did notice that the CPU frequency slowed down a lot when the CPU started to heat up, but I have been told that is quite normal.
When I was still on the Chinese version 3.4 ROM it did disable most of the components that are associated with the OTA updater (Phone was rooted), this seem to minimise the reboots, but not eliminate them.
Right now I have SIM2 disabled and SIM1 (Telstra) on 2G only, let's see how that performs.

Martin

How I did solve it:
After a long period of using my D6k without apparent issues on Chinese V3.4, get random reboots & continuous restarting. It was happening more and more frequently, so I have suspecting a hardware trouble.
Even on factory reset, after one or few days phone start again with the annoying random reboots & continuous restarting. Even when I have take out the external battery, phone behave the same, but with internal battery only I have observed a miss-function into battery counter and status of charging. Phone never wait to become empty, he starts to random reboots when google applications were running.
I figure out is somehow an internal battery problem, and contacted innos European support. They promise to check if possible to send a battery and to wait until they make an offer, but did not follow-up yet.
Then, I did like this:
1. factory reset again.
2. charged the internal battery to100%
3. installed 2.4 with Qfill (have try a lot untill fonund some proper drivers)
4. updated to 2.6
5. rooted the phone with TWRP
7. take out the sim-card
6. let the phone discharge completely (play a video in loop untill internal get 0%)
7. recharged 100% the internal battery, with phone off.
8. delete batterystatus.bin from system
9. let the phone discharge internal battery completely, again (play a video in loop untill internal get 0%)
10. recharged 100% the internal battery, with phone off.
Then, I have started the phone, inserted the sim-card, added the external battery and everything come to normal. I have not experienced again, and phone is going on from a week now.
My conclusion is that batterystatus.bin got some errors during previous recharging, and mislead android, forcing to restart.
I am somehow worried for the future, because did not find any D6k internal battery to buy from alliexpress, and hardware service issues might be a big problem in the future.

Very interesting, thank you very much for your effort.
I am currently on version 2.6 of the European ROM [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]
I will try points 7 to 10 as below.
And see how that goes
7. recharged 100% the internal battery, with phone off.
8. delete batterystatus.bin from system
9. let the phone discharge internal battery completely, again (play a video in loop untill internal get 0%)
10. recharged 100% the internal battery, with phone off.

Looks like it does not work for me.
after 2 hours I had a reboot.
I am running Orux maps tracker most of the time.
Will have to wait for Android 6 to see if that works better.

Hi, did you try using only with internal battery first discharge?

I will try tomorrow to run the device just on the internal battery and see how that goes.

martin
Maybe I read your answer wrong, yes I did discharge the internal battery twice with the external

Random reboot quite possible is internal battery problem.. I try to unplug internal battery (swelling) it still show 50%on the internal battery but phone keep reboot while wifi or phone signal turn on (off all wireless connection then everything fine)...
Internal battery can buy here..
