[Question] How to root Philips I928 MTK 6592?

Hi,
I have a Philips I928 and I could not root it by any method in this forum.
I have read carefully and followed the instructions, but still no success.
Please any one help me?

Which methods have you tried? There are 8 auto root tools in the rooting tools forum. And the last option is to build cwm and root from recovery.

Please tell us what tools you've tried and where you had problems so its easier to troubleshoot.

I have tried Kingo root, vroot, framaroot, rootgenius, kingroot, srs root, monochoper auto root.

After that I checked with Root Checker, it said no root. Update supersu always failed.

Also I can not go to original recovery mode by click power+volume up any more.

When i tried to press power+volume down, my phone booted in to a chinese menu which i don'n unterstand. That happen after i use vroot_iroot apk on my phone.

There is a "Kingroot" on my phone also, but my phone still can not acess apllications which need root permission like titanium backup or root explorer.

Please help.

The Chinese menu is probably factory mode.
Have you tried Booting into recovery via mtk droid tools?

BTW, you may want to check maybe there already is a permission manager installed. Some phones come rooted but you have to tick a switch in security settings.

If you tried a root tool and it failed, make sure to uninstall it before trying a new one.

Thanks for your fast reply. I will try to boot in to recovery by mtk droid tool.
By the way, there is an icon named Kinguser apears on my phone. I dont know if it is made by which method. I think its a root permission, but my phone is still not rooted, and i can not uninstall Kinguser because it is a system app.
I dont know what to do now.

Ahh. If you have king user installed, your phone is most likely pre-rooted. This explains why the root tools are failing.

Go into settings>security. There should be a superuser item with a switch. You have to switch it on for king user to be usable.
