I wouldn't waste your time with checking all the different versions. This is likely an issue with the SD Card itself. Perhaps try copying all data to your computer, then format the SD and copy the data back. Make sure it's a tight fit in the slot as well.
Regarding firmware, I've found it to be fine from 1.0.1 when the OTG was fixed. I've experienced no bugs. Though it's a strange change they've made with 1.0.4 and forcing all EMMC to phone storage.

And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth

You're spot-on, swapped to another card and problem solved. Now to decide between 1.03 and 1.04.

It appears the default /data is residing on the 'phone storage' with 1.0.4. So this is essentially what you wanted in the first place. The fully combined space in one partition.

Glad to report that the SD card issue is resolved - currently using a 16GB microSD, works fine. The amount of space in the full 13GB is amazing, I installed everything I needed and have plenty left over. So far so good, most probably will end up as my daily driver once the silicone case arrives.

i had a problem similar to this everytime i put music or some files in external sd card after a phone restart everything was not working it was very weird because the files seemed tp be there but they could not be read
at first i though it was a problem card , but when i tested it to other phones worked just fine , at second though i believed that the phone icepteptor had the problem
then i tried to
flash another version and problem resolved with new rom
but with this new version seems to be a problem with gps
i found some versions with working gps i guess i will try them some day

I can confirm the SD card slot is giving me errors, I always end up with a soft bricked device no matter which ROM I use whenI have the SDcard inserted, but when I don;t use it, everything is fine. So this is no longer a daily driver candidate for me, will use it as a travel phone for the dual SIM capability.
