I run a TWRP file from my PC whilst the phone is connected to it in boot loader mode.
The TWRP file makes a connection to the phone and the TWRP logo comes up.
I can now unplug from the PC and back up the ROM to the SD card, wipe the internal memory, install a previous backup, install from a zip on the SD card.
Using this I made the last change from the Chinese 3.4 ROM to the EU 2.6 ROM without any problems.

Martin
Thanks! Didn't know that. Could have saved my time and the trouble. Lol.
Just to clarify, so you backup the 3.4 first, then wipe then install the previous 3.4 backup again?
Or u mean place the 2.6 on the SD card, wipe then choose install from zip?

I have gone back and forth between ROMs a number of times, the last time I copied the new 2.6 version EU ROM to the SD card, then using TWRP I started the phone and I backed up the 3.4 Chinese ROM (in case I wanted to go back), then I did a standard system wipe (TWRP does not wipe the internal data) and finally I installed the 2.6 EU ROM, all good and I can go back to 3.4 (all configured) if I want to.

Hi, I´m running 2.6 EU version following Stevejc´s howto and first it the device worked really well. Since a few days I have a big problem doing outgoing calls:
I´m using 2 SIM-cards, setting for preferred SIM is:
"Ask every time"
If I start a outgoing call, the window where I can choose to use SIM1 or SIM2 pop up for less then a second, without I´m able to do anything it´s closing by itself faster then within a second and that´s it. I´m not able to do a call.
If I switch to SIM1 instead of "Ask every time" the call will be done by using SIM1.
Don´t know what happens because it worked well before which means the popup came up and I could choose to dial out using SIM1 or SIM2.
Any idea what´s wrong?
Thanx for each idea in advance!

Don't know if it's the same problem, for me I have the settings SIM2 always.
And most of the time, first call stops after a second need to redo it and then it's working good.
For you when it closes have you tried to redo it ?

Hi, for me it´s exactly as you wrote it:
Some times, first call stops after a second need to redo it and then it's doing the outbound dial.
1 month ago I setup the device from scretch and it worked really great. I have had this problem before and after the full reset and reinstall 1 month ago it worked without this bug. Now since a few days the bug enter again, so I don´t know what´s wrong again.

Have you tried to wipe the cache and the Dalvik cache?
After you wipe the Dalvik cache you r phone will take a while to boot as it reinstalls all your apps, it could fix some corruption issues.
You will not loose data or apps.

Martin
