MP 809T
Hi all. I bought on December a 809T from [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register] with 2 GB RAM. Min has compilation number 2109_x82_hydy_hd_20131119

I found out months ago that this phone has malware embedded within the system apps (at least 3 APPs). I checked it using the virustotal app, which can be found in playstote: [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]&hl=en

It checks every app in your phone, system and users apps, against 55 antivirus, and each antivirus tells you if it's clean or not, That way I foung the malicious apps including a trojan (smsreg, gsearch, opera... and maybe 2 other ones, one starting by uu...)

After doing that I had to root my device with framaroot (which is also detected by 20 of 55 antivirus, but I don't delete it because I want my phone rooted). I deleted the infected apps with ROM Toolbox explorer and all works fine, much better than before.

In my case, before doing that I got some full screen disturbing ads which I blocked using Adfree app.

My phone is really good but I don't want to have trojans in my system. Check your systems!!!!

PS. I just bought a Xiaomi Hongmi Note in Aliexpress (much better that my 809T), and it has also malware inside after checking with virustotal
PS2. If you don't want to root your device, I found our another solution to block infected apps: NoRoot Firewall app

Verify that this is compatible with your phone's specs.

If you don't have a backup yet, i suggest you make one before you flash anything.

Hi Trenzalore
Thanks for your reply . Yes it is almost new phone. I bought 3 month back and
its worked properly. Few days back that problem raised. Fort camera working but problem only back camera. My phone MKT 6582 and build number - 109_v82_hydy_hd_20140107

Also note if camera out of order or hardware problem then how I will get new camera for fix. I am leaving in Bangladesh. Here market I didn't find that camera

But first I want to do flashing (Pls give me your guide line for flash & ROM) then not recover camera then try hardware.

Pls Trenzalore guide me because I love my phone very much.

Take note of the back up. If you have CWM installed, make a backup of your data before flashing.
I would recommend the first kind of flash tool. It responds better in my experience.
For the drivers, try PdaNet+ first.

good luck!

I'm not sure about that either. I think there may be two versions of it? Dunno I'm not entirely sure. The ROM links I provided are for MT6582 and MT6592.

Bappi mentioned he has the MT6582. @Bappi double check the ROM you will flash. Make a backup too

It's funny how some guys reported that their phones had 3GB RAM. Can RAM be faked?

It's too easy actually, kernel is customized and uses the file /system/etc/changeram.xml to saw fake ram. If u delete the file, system doesn't boot. If you change it, it restores to default after boot.
But mutlitasking of device is not as good as phones with 2GB RAM

Wow, I never knew that. It looks like almost anything can be faked on an Android phone. Chinese manufacturers were notorious for faking stuff but most of them now make genuine products.

To some extent I understand why they used to fake phone specs and OS versions - they somehow had to find a way to break into the global market which is ruled by the likes of Samsung. Luckily for them, the price of high performance components has reduced a lot. They are now free to mass-produce very powerful phones and sell them super-cheap while maintaining some level of profitability. Labor in China as far as I know is also dirt cheap.

Some of these Chinese companies are so daring. I saw somewhere that OnePlus makes less than $10 profit from each 1+ One - a $350+ phone - that's some pretty risky business.
