i have handled two JK12 n one JK11
but they r not mine, i only had it in my hand for 1 - 2 days only, after i set up the rom and app n root, then i return them to my friend.
the first JK12. when i first touch it. i noticed that the touch is not good. when i tried to pull down the notification bar, and hit the setting, i had to hit a bit left to the icon. then i reset the rom to the InewV3 v1.1.1 by DevTeamVn. then evreything looked ok, but still the setting at the notification bar, i still had to hit a bit left to the icon.
then after 3 - 4 days, my friend told me that phone started to jam once in a while. so i took it back, then i noticed there are lines underneath the glass/screen, they just run horizontally across the whole screen. sometimes when u tried to dial number 5 in phone pad, then the number 4 come out.
I am not the one who use it, so i can't tell if it is a faulty unit or it was damaged by mishandling.
for the second JK12, everything looked OK, i did not change the rom, i only root it, the touch is quite perfect at the moment. much much better than the first one i received. Then i gave give back to my friend.
And for JK11, i found that the touch is a bit better than the first one, i had to hit a bit left of the icon, everything else look OK, so far there is no feed back from the owner, i suppose no news mean good news.
for camera, i would say it is 3 out of 10 (10 is the best)
for ram, cpu, - 6 out of 10 ( for a normal daily usage. it is more than enough.
(ram is one gb, but the system will show u 2 GB).
for battery life, it should be ok, can last u for 1 day fairly usage, but it came with two battery.
for GPS, i did not really tried it, but for me and my experience, the GPS can be done with the software or use some aluminium foil to enhance the receiving of the signal. I did tried with JK 12, it is ok
If u want to changed the rom, i don't think u can find a lot on the web.
may be u should port the rom yrself.

I also have a horizontal magenta line in my Asus iconia a101. Is there a way to fix this, beside changing the screen of course. I suspect that there is something wrong with the flexible connector.
The table is a bit heavy, I rarely use it so I decide to lent it to my little brother(still in high school). After about a year, I decide to upgrade to newer rom and found the magenta line.

the problem with my Jk 12 is the digitizer
the digitizer normally r back to back with the glass, then the lcd/led display.
i think yours should be the display problem.
in your case, if the line always stay at the same postion even if u switch the app or pages, then yr display should be damaged.
may be u can try to open the phone , and take out the flex cable , clean it then reinsert n see if help.

Hello,
Over the last couple months I've been trying to get a small business going selling these locally. Basically just as a way to legitimize my love of "gadgets". I only say that so you know where I'm going from. I've ordered several different ones to get some exposure, as "demos" for people and for sale.
In that price range I've been very impressed with the Doogee DG350 and the Elephone P7 mini.
The DG350 has a much better feel and look. In the hand I don't think your aunt would believe that it costs less than the inew. In function, the camera is mediocre and the inew is just smoother but it sounds like that's not too important to her.
The Elephone P7 mini is a little better battery life and doesn't feel as "classy" but functionally is very nice
I've also got a DG300, which is almost $30 cheaper than the DG350 but is dual core with 512 RAM. It's slower and feels it, but works for it's intended audience.

Wow, thanks alot for that information wirelessaddiction
i had a look at both phones and they are great, is the DG350 reallly 720p, does it make it look alot better than the elephones display? I'd imagine itd have a beautiful display considering same resolution as inew v3, yet smaller screen?
the elephone looks great too, but at the moment id have to say the doogee dg350 has taken the cake for now, will keep looking
out of the jiake jk11 and the dg350 would you think its safe to say the dg350 is better value for money or are they the same , tbh the design of the dg350 is beautful and im really leaning towards it
appreciate the advice !
oh also i was wondering are the side edges on the DG350 real aluminium or just plastic, would be really cool if its aluminium but kinda doubt it

Yes, the dg350 is really 720p and it looks great. The Elephone is nice too, but the dg350 is better. I'm looking at both of them now. The Elephone colors are a little deeper and richer but the Doogee is noticeably crisper.
The sides are not real aluminum but it's very nicely done plastic.
I forgot to mention, the pictures of the backs on the dg350 do not do it justice. The "pixels" add a lot. The white one is smooth (almost too smooth) but it gives it a pearlescent shimmer that really looks classy. It is a little slippery and I don't know how it will wear but out of the box it's neat. The black one is actually textured with the pixel effect. It gives it a surface that's nice too hold.
The shape, feel and size of the phone really do stand out. It's got a nice compact solid feel to it. Again, the Elephone is nice too, it just looks and feels a little closer to it's price. A much more "utilitarian" look and feel.
My "daily driver" is an Oppo Find 5, which is pretty much unsurpassed in quality feel and a stunning display. Those are qualities I look for in a phone. I'm not saying they're the same, but Doogee is getting a couple things right in the look and feel department on the DG350 and DG2014.

thanks alot for the reply, yeah the dg350 genuinely looks like itl be the one im going for, will give it some more time as you never know what might pop up and she's not in any rush
but seeing as you're here i was wondering if you could tell me what in your opinion is the differences between the inew v3 and the dogee dg2014, specswise they are quite similiar arent the, is the doogee infact better than the inew and had it not been for the earlier release date on the inew, we would be holding doogee dg2014's right now, its always been interesting to me that phone, as it is sooo similiar to the v3 and released at the same time, yet so many more people talk about the v3 and not the dg2014

I've wondered that too!
I got a v3 in February and was really impressed. A few weeks later I got a dg2014. I paid around $200 for the v3 and $150 for the dg2014.
The short story / result is that I've sold 3 dg2014s, and have 2 more on order. I still have the v3 and will most likely lose money on it.
You're right, they're very similar and in a few ways the v3 is just slightly better than the dg2014. Sensitivity of the touch screen and the camera are the two biggest things I've noticed. Other than that the dg2014 looks and feels more expensive than the v3. Which is why when compared side by side after I tell people that the v3 is $50 more they're shocked. Same as with the dg350, its a couple little things that make the dg2014 seem more expensive than it is. The dimpled back and the little Chinese character aluminum inlay around the flash combine with the shape of the phone and metal sides to give it a much more premium feel than it is. Yes, the v3 has the "eye" which is cool and the metal sides but other than that it's white plastic. My short experience is that people are leary of "China phones". They're tempted by the price but they don't want a phone that "looks cheap" (unless of course it has the name Samsung on it )
I see the price of the v3 has come down now so at the current prices it's a preference thing.
Sorry if I come off as pushing Doogee. I have no reason for doing it other than I've been really impressed with each one of their phones that I've seen and I wonder why I don't see them mentioned around more often. From what I've seen they are really the only budget China phone manufacturer that I think could make it in western countries. Along with products that appeal to western tastes, they actually have a website that lists their products, their features and specs! Which apparently is a novel concept for a lot of companies.

haha cool
i was torn between the inew v3 and DG2014, but didnt see any info on the DG2014 so i went with the inew v3, paying the extra, now i "kinda" regret it, but not enough to make it significant at all
at first i didnt like the back of the DG2014 tho, it seemed to have a gloss finish, and at the time i purchased teh DG2014, the pricew as relatively similiar to the v3 but lack of any info on the phone made me wary
but yeah the DOOGEE team look to be doing great, releasing quite alot of phones , also look very good and the price tends to be one of the best in their price range ,
cant wait to see what the future holds for it
