Hello Forum,
Long time no see, but fret not! I'm still venturing into the China Mobile ocean. With some weird things coming my way.
Lately I bought two N9500, to give to friends and family. They turned them back because "they had problems" but that's beyond the point.
Here's the thing. The newer Ν9500 refused to be rooted with the classic Motorchopper. We did it with Cydia Impactor 0.9.14 instead which is a tool for i9500 as far as I know. Then we tried to flash a new recovery. We tried Caliv for i9500, Cofface CWM for N9500 and many more found around the internet. None worked. The phone works, mind you, but the recovery is just non-existent. Every time we try to get into the recovery we just get a reboot.
I tried to figure out why things aren't working on the phone while on the other phone we got everything worked fine. I tried to identify the model and it gives back an n9500 with an Arm v7a which is expected.
Any idea what's going on? I really can't figure it out.
