I have a strong feeling the battery of the Samsung Galaxy Mega i9200 will fit this phone.
The size of this battery is 3.39 in x 2.52 in x 0.16 in (8.6 cm x 6.4 cm x 0.4 cm).
The contacts are on the same place as on the H9008, and the overall dimensions look the same (according to pictures)
Can anyone please confirm this is the same size as the H9008 battery? Can someone please put the size (Length, Width, Depth) of the H9008 battery here?
If so, that's great news, because there's a 4200mAH version of it!

I got the dimensions of the i9200, and Yes! It's most likely they are the same!
H9008: 8.0 x 6 .3 x 0.4
Galaxy i9200: 8.6 x 6.4 x. 0.4
Connectors are on same place, and the dimensions are small rounding / measurement errors.
You know, it would be cost far to much for a factory to produce 1 type of battery for just 1 type of phone which is not extremely much sold.
Therefore it's most likely they use an existing big battery, and it seems the Samsung Galaxy Mega i9200 has the same battery!
So I just ordered a whopping 4200mAH version of it.
Thanks for the measurements Airionfoo!

A friend of mine has measured the battery with a caliper and sent me an image.
The dimensions are: - height 79 mm
- width 61,7 mm
- depth 3,5 mm
- contact width 1,8 mm
- all contacts width 9,5 mm
- gap between contacts and edge 13,6 mm

Hello gersonl,
I supose You have this phone.
Can you please write your opinion on phones main cammera.
I am very interested in buying it, but I would go for Mlais MX69T Pro since
it is afordable to me to pay higher price to have NFC. I dont change phones
very often so I want to be shure to get the right one.
I also heard of battery issues but I couldnt find what is exact problem - does it last whole day at least, it is ok for any smartphone that you need to charge it every night.
Also if it turns out to be true that SG battery fits we have a BINGO

No ostres, I don't have the phone yet, otherwise I wouldn't have asked for someone else to measure the dimensions of the battery, isn't it?
However, I did have received the Galaxy Mega battery, and it's slightly longer (0.5cm) than the H9008 battery. The width, the connectors and thickness are the same.
So, I think one must make a slight modification to the phone. I think you have to unscrew the bottom plate and remove it. This will expose some electronics, but the battery might fit then.
Remove the bottom plate and the Galaxy Mega battery might fit.
Anyway, I expected the phone today, but I haven't seen the postman this whole week (not even driving around).

the battery not fitting is unfortunate...i was thinking to buy this phone..
gersonl...opening the lowepanel means leaving the back cover open?
ostress does the mlais mx69T pro not suffer from the battery issues of the H9008?
there are three versions of the H9008 availabe at present..(check my question thread for details)
did u see that there is an H9008 at merimobiles with android 4.3, 32GB and NFC..here [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]
the mx69T pro is not yet made with 32GB rom..??
if only we could sort out the battery issue then i could buy the32GB H9008!! or maybe i will have to consider the thl T200?

Regarding battery dimesions, it is most important that pins fit exactly and widht and thikness. Battery can be shortened a bit
and also when you remove bottom plate maby you can grind it a bit and put it back. Anyway gersonl will soon update on that matter.
Regarding battery issues, it apears that H9008 and MX69T pro share same ROM so they probably share same battery issues.
You can see different values for battery capacity on H9008/MX69 Pro/MX69T Pro, but i think that is the same battery, difference
is just how honest they decided to be. So I believe that real capacity is 2800 mAh, which is fairly OK for this phone. As i understood
fast draining is only when wi-fi is on, so it can realy be software issue (i have that with my current phone) and Mlais is releasing
ROM updates regularly (unlike most of the others Chinese producers) so they will fix it for shure.
I would be cautious about phone you linked from merimobiles, you should ask them to confirm if it realy has NFC. And price is the same
as Mlais 69T Pro, I agree that aditional 16Gb of space is a good thing, but i would rather go for Mlais. Memory cards are fairly cheap now
so you can easily upgrade memory.

That's easier said than done,. .but I think its doable! I went ahead and removed that little plate last night to take a look but it looks like there's a little plastic material there that will need to be removed so that battery can fit snuggly... But I think it's doable- as long as the other end of the battery aligns up with the contact points - it should work! ! I'm probably gonna try it! I will need to buy myself one of those dremel hobby tools to do the job. .safely, and patiently! One screw up and there goes $358 down the drain! :-p ... I'm gonna order the galaxy mega i9200 battery Monday morning.
