Since our H9008 is shipped with a fake capacity battery, only 1600mAh instead of 3000mAh, we need other ways to get the day trough, until the day arrives that there will be a manufacturer who stands up and says: "I will make a real 3000mAh H9008 battery for you"...
Disable automatic updates
The automatic update process eats much battery. Disabling this will increase battery life.
1. Open the Play Store app
2. Press on the Play Store icon in the top left corner
3. Press SETTINGS
4. Toggle "Auto update apps" to "Do not auto-update apps".
5. Also switch off notifications.
6. Periodically check for updates yourself
Disable WiFi in sleep mode
Since your phone is connected to 3G all the time, it's not neccesary to have the WiFi enabled when it's in sleep mode.
A 3G or even 2G connection is enough to receive messages or e-mails. They don't eat much data either.
So disabling WiFi in standby mode / sleep mode will increase the standby battery time.
1. Open the Settings app
2. Tap on the text "WiFi" (not the toggle button, but the text)
3. Press the capacitive Menu button of the phone (the one left to the home button)
4. Press "Advanced"
5. Press "Keep WiFi on during sleep"
6. Select Never
7. Check if "WiFi optimization" is enabled
Disable GPS and BlueTooth
Both modules consume battery power, and most of the time you don't need them.
1. Disable Bluetooth. This can be done with the Settings app -> BlueTooth
2. Disable GPS. Open Settings app, go to "Location access" and disable "GPS satellites".
Lower the brightness of your screen
The screen is big so it takes much power to lit it up.
1. Open the settings app
2. Go to Display
3. Go to Brightness
4. Enable "Automatic Brightness" (this will adjust the brightness to the environment light), or just put the slider more to the left to lower the brightness.
Additional tips are welcome!
