I can' t hang up

I Can't Hang Up/Disconnect Calls
when I'm done with a phone call and I want to hang up, I can't get the phone options to come back on screen. It will stay black. I tilt the phone back and forth slowly, I touch the screen, I click the button at the bottom, click the on/off switch, and still the screen will remain black. FINALLY either the other person hangs up, or the screen will FINALLY come back up after about six to ten seconds of me playing with the tng. How do I get the phone to wake and show me the phone displays when I want it to?

1) Please name your make, model, CPU chipset and Android version
I am hoping this is not the V3
2) Did you root this phone and put a ROM on it.....as it may be a ROM issue and not a warranty issue
----as soon as you root your phone you void your warranty.
3) A quick way of getting around your issue is
system settings -> accessibility -> TICK the box to allow Power button to end calls.
4) Does this device have a proximity sensor?
consider installing this app and playing with it

For me, putting my fat thumb over the sensor gives readings for being covered
my sensor seems to be the right of the face camera YMMV
depending on your answers.....good luck

in fact it is v3. I didn't root it and didn' t putvany ROM, I haven' tached it since I've bought it. It is with Android 4.2.2 gelly bean.
I ticked the box to allow the power buton to end calls, but this didn't resolve the ptoblem
The device has a proximity sensor, is it possible this sensor to be dirty with dust for examp. as my touch screen was almost detached from the phone and then I glued back,
I will try with this app. to see will it fix it.

I too have this problem with my iNew V3
When I make a voice call, during the call the screen goes black. With the screen black, it no longer responds to touch. Also during a call, the power switch is disabled.
Recently I made a call, and got a voice mail reply. The only way I could end the call was to remove the battery from my phone!
This is a new iNew v3, delivered last week (been in use since last Thursday, 4 days so far), running Android 4.2.2

Easy fix: Calibrate your proximity sensor.
Disabling the screen during a call is an Android feature that prevents your cheek from accidentally pressing buttons. Your phones proximity sensors are out of whack, so the phone doesn't actually know that you've moved the screen away from your face.
If the phone runs Jelly Bean or later, you can re-calibrate from your settings.
- Phone Settings
- Display
- Proximity Sensor Calibration
If the phone is running an old version of Android, sensor calibration is done via recovery. (I know the V3 runs later Android -- just stating this here in case anyone else stumbles across this problem via a Google search or similar.)
Recalibrate the sensor, then laugh maniacally as you return to hanging up unexpectedly on friends and loved ones! (Or whenever you see fit.)

Rumor has it you can access it from MediaTek Engineer Mode (aka MTK Engineer Mode).
One easy way to get there is to install an app called "Mobile Uncle Tools". From there, you should be able to launch into MTK Mode. There's also some key stroke sequence you can use instead, but I don't know it off the top of my head.
Once you're in Engineer Mode, go to the "Hardware Testing" area, then scroll down to "Sensor". There should be an option for Proximity Sensor in there.
A "hack" alternative you guys can use in the meantime is to use the power button to end your call. It's a setting you'll have to tick in Android, and you really SHOULD calibrate your proximity sensor to work properly, but it's an easy workaround.
Go to Settings.
Go to Accessibility.
Tick the box that says "Power button ends call".

And the problem is not only because I can' t hang up (I already can do it, using the power buton) but because the device dyes for 10-15 min. and I can' t use it , can't dial, can't see even the time - nothing

ok i solved my problem, when i replaced lcd little black rubber form proximity sensor was not transfer to new housing
