hi developers and frens
I recently bought a MTK6589 galaxy S4(1:1 high imitation 5' samsung s4 clone) with touchwiz custom android with air gesture and all. but it came with some preinstalled softwares like 369 mobile security and other chinese uc browser which cannot be uninstalled. i would like to know if my phone can be brushed with custom Roms if any. thank you in advance.

Which is the exact model of your phone? You need to use firmware made exactly for your model phone.

You can get rid of the Chinese stuff by rooting. Try some of the root threads in the stickies.

You can also try doing a factory reset. Often that will get rid of a lot of the garbage. You need to do this from recovery.

I think you can delete unwanted app/software by
1. root your device by auto root ([Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register])
2. install es file explorer, then mount writen
3. open es file explorer in System/app
4. delete app

I also bought about few days ago same galaxy s4 GT-i9502 (china cloned) dual sim just new..

1. The problem is as per the camera spec in the box and seller told me back camera 13 mega pixel.. and in the front camera is 5 mega pixel.. but it shows only 6M & 1M in the camera settings what could be the wrong..?

2. some times the camera picture preview struck and looks like and automatically the closes the program appears 'program close error'

3. Also this phone is rooted with Super SU by factory verified with root checker

4. i really tried to go recovery mode or downloading mode likewise Samsung original ( use this way to go - vol up + Menu + Power ) i really did not understand see the below shows like this..

Select Boot Mode:
(Volume_up to select. volume_ down )

[Recovery Mode]
[Fastboot Mode]
[Normal Mode]

if selected any of this using center Menu button
the ANDROID DOLL Lying and shows this Icon [!] ( some how like died)LoL

5. [Volume_down to select. volume_ down]
For above method it goes FActory mode... but sad thing is all in chinese language this factory mode i did not understand.

6. if iam wrong sorry can i change the booting icon like Galaxy orginal s4 is there any way.. coz i have seen in youtube some clone version?

7. Lets say if i successfully any other way got Recovery Mode... Any idea if i try original galaxy s4 gt-i9502 firmware 4.2.2 from sammobile?

Sorry i am not much expert but i did rooting my galaxy note2 once.. but for this MTK6589 i am new to this so i appreciate if
any provide good suggestion }

Get Titanium Backup app from the Play store, you'll be able to remove everything.

i have the same issue, but my phone wont hold service longer than 1 min before it drops. im stuck.

hi all, really need help here.. i just bought a samsung galaxy s4 china clone gt-19500 any ways for me to root this device? as there are a lot of unwanted chinese app in here..

Me too i bought a clone galaxy s4 and i am looking forwards to root it because it is very limited in internal memory and i wanna root it so that i get access to uninstall builtin apps and release space as it constantly keeps notifying me about very low memory left Sad

Hi...I also have the same phone GT-I9502. I am in the US and I found an app (Framaroot) one click to root our phone and any phone!!! (link below).

I selected the similar phone from the list MTK devices and downloaded the app on the phone.
Then selected (faramir) exploit for our phone....and SUCCESSFUL!!! Enjoy...!!
