Hi guys:
After 1 day tries Mediatek MT6575 GT-S7562 was unbricked with no test point. after it was dead because of wrong ROM flashing.
Steps:
1- install VCOM driver
2- Big thanks to : yuweng for the nice quote
Quote:*** with the the WARNING & you still do it...
Inspired by fellow member to start this thread to help out other member that run in to similar problem so here are the solution but it might not work for all MT65xx...
If you have already brick it by flashing wrong PRELOADER then you still have a 50/ 50 chance to revive it so keep you fingers-crossed...
For MT6573
Requirement : Your MT6573 factory ROM, SP Flash Tool
MT6573 Meta Driver - If you don't have, download it from here
First you will need to open Device Manager, switch off your phone, press & hold Menu button but don't let go, now plug-in your usb cable will activate META mode(Thanks to Master Shifu Cybermaus for his insight knowledge)...You'll notice Mediatek USB VCOM will appear at Device Manager -> Ports
Mediatek USB VCOM will stay connected until you download factory ROM then it will auto disconnect, reconnect as PRELOADER USB VCOM & continue downloading...
After factory ROM download completed, it will be auto disconnected & you'll have your phone raise from the dead !
This hidden feature will enable you to download factory ROM when you brick it by flashing wrong PRELOADER meant for other phone however for some MT6573 there is no way to access META mode except by dismantling the whole phone...
If you can't find your model factory ROM, try to hunt for similar ROM. I have had feedback from fellow xda member it actually works ! Luckily, most MT65xx ROM are very similar to each other. Try to look for similarity at build.prop -> ro.build.product for eg, typical build are bird73_gb , e1109_v73_jy1, huaqin73_gb, tinnoes73_s8030_2g, mt73_w831_a9100_yingt & etc... google search is your friend...
For MT6575/ 77
With the battery out, hold the volume up, don't let go & plug in the USB cable will activate META mode for few seconds...Typically, you need to click Download at SP Flash Tool before entering META mode or it will auto disconnected...
HI, I have the problem with the SP FLASH Tool.. My device is TECNO H5, MT6572 Android 4.2.2.. I tried to flash it with sp flash tool but it give the following error " BROM ERROR : S_FT_ENABLE_DRAM_FAIL (4032) [EMI] Enable DRAM fail " Please help
Hi Razzor. Try this maybe help you.also you have a web site where have a tutorial who may help.Error 4032 Message: BROM ERROR : S_FT_ENABLE_DRAM_FAIL (4032) [EMI] Enable DRAM fail Meaning: SP Flash tool is unable to enable DRAM / communicate effectively with the device Solution: * Ensure that the file(s) you're trying to flash are actually for your exact phone model * Uninstall vcom, preloader and MTK drivers using usbdeview then manually re-install * Delete the sp flash tool folder then re-extract * Ensure the phone is switched off (with battery still inside) before connecting to PC for flashing. * If that doesn't work, keep holding down the volume decrease button just before connecting the phone to PC for flashing (you could try volume increase , power + volume decrease or power + volume increase). * Consider using the latest version of Sp Flash tool * Format the phone before trying to flash the file(s) again
I have bricked my Jiayu S3 3GB RAM/NFC Version during flashing Firmware with SP Flash tool. Now I can go in META-Mode when I hold Volume - and connect my Phone to PC. My Computer try to install Driver but the worst Thing is that my Phone reconnect automatically and it Shows me the Message: "Device removed" after installing Drivers although I have my Phone connected to PC. On Device Manager it shows a short time : "Unknown Device" and then it reconnect but It Shows nothing on Ports (COM & LTP) : Mediatek USB VCOM (Android) (COMx). So my Device is dead and I can not get it to work and turn it on again.
META Mode is working but it Shows nothing on COM Ports on Device Manager. I don't know what I can do.
I NEED MY PHONE. Please could anyone help me to solve my Problem! Sorry for my English

Hi have you found solution to your problem? Am having the exact same issue with my gionee gpad g2 don't know how to go about it, device manager detect my device as unknown all drivers installed don't seem to change anything. Just hope there is another solution to this problem,
Wow, it works perfectly for my Blackview bv5000 with MT6735M.
I have already press download at the flash tool, I press only volume up and connected the phone, and it works (not the first time, so I put battery again on), it shows that download something in red at 100%, but the driver didn’t work, so I don’t disconnect the phone and start installing the drive (without close the flash_tool, don’t touch the flash tool for nothing) the drive successfully got installed and in the same second, the flash tool start working installing the rom, I use android 6.0 rom this time (even when I was trying to install the 5.1 when I brick my phone and despite that you suppose to use the original on your phone before got brick) this is the name of the rom I used to revive my blackview bv5000 t89j-jk-bv5000-33mgu-hd-128g16g-fdd3m-bom21_BV5000_C1_Blackview_V1.5_20160612_release ( [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]&t=44132 ) from the blackview page. Good luck with that and you have nothing to lose if you try, phone is already dead.
By the way, my phone was long forgotten at the closet and the battery was dead, so I recommend that when it finished installing the rom and says ok, close the flash tool, disconnect the phone and before trying to turn it on, connect it to electricity in the wall, not in the computer, then turn in on, it takes about 3 minutes the first time and it turn on with only 2% of battery for me. It hardly had enough power to turn on, but I imagine that if the battery ran out in the middle of the process it will brick the phone, this time for good.
Thank you again for this post and the META mode I haven’t hear nothing before.
