OK, I know, I was stupid. Playing with partitions with no backup...
I have an MT6577 based Galaxy Note clone ("Gong Chang" A120, e1901_v77_yp1_y7100hd, 4GB). Needless to say there doesn't seem to be a firmware available for this
I rooted the phone and attempted to run the partioning APK, which ran through OK but the phone is now bricked. It's stuck at the opening logo and I believe this is down to the EBR files being incorrect. Of course, I do not have the original EBRs either...
Running the MTK Droid tools doesn't seem to work, so I am unable to grab the scatter file. The PC does seem to recognise the phone's existence but I suspect that the full ADB protocol isn't coming online.
Is there anything that can be done here?
