HELP Pls No Sound Conquest S6 MT8752(6752)

Hello there Ladies and Gentlemen..

I have a slight but very frustrating issue.

Recently well a couple of days ago I received my new Conquest S6 MT8752(6752) rugged phone. I'm loving it I think its awesome for what I need it so etc...

BUT unfortunately I cannot hear anything through my default speaker doesn't matter if it is incoming or outgoing calls I can hear nothing. It seems that the other end can hear me fine....

Please bear with me brethren as I am not very well versed in the technical field of android speak or know how.

These are the things I have done to trouble shoot thus far.

1. Factory reset done. Still No Go.

2. Flashed the original factory firmware provided by the guys that i bought it off using the latest SP Flash tool from this site... SNG

3.Using MTK Engineer Mode via the this method " *#*#3646633#*#* " and altered various speaker modes etc... SNG..

Before this i was using Samsung note's and S's , but never have I tried flashing the firmware or whatever. Is there anything else to try guys?

Again everything else works awesome, The external speaker is damn loud and clear, blue tooth no problems , ear plugs awesome as well. Just sucks man.

Any body that maybe able to shed a 'lil wisdom or light on this dire/ kill my buzz totally / sucks balls situations you sir/mam are awesome.

This is tough. You've tried nearly all that I'd suggest. I'd add a couple more... The first, is check that there's no mute option enabled in settings somewhere or in options when you make a call... which probably there isn't, but just part of troubleshooting...

If there's no setting you see, then it's probably hardware.

Try a headset. Does it work with a headset/mic? If so, then you know it's an issue with the mic or daughterboard or mainboard.

The last would be to replace the mic or board that the mic is set in.... But before going to that extreme, I'd just get my money back. Don't let them blah blah blah you. Just put in your PayPal claim or Credit Card company claim and get your money back and don't let them muck about until the grace period has ended. Make sure you document everything as well as possible for proof on your end.

Now something weird has happened and by chance I stumbled upon it.

It rings fine with the Headset/mic both with Data(whatsapp) and regular Sim calls however if I take the H/mic out whilst calling using regular Sim the headset will sometimes work loud and clear but doesn't do so with the data...

Any ideas anyone? I have contacted the seller and they are awaiting factory suggestion.

Sorry, this isn't making sense to me... If you take the H/mic out, the *headset* will still sometimes work? Do you mean the *built-in mic*

Does the built-in mic work with Whatsapp etc...? If so:

You might want to check if there's VoLTE selected in Sim Network settings. Try to deselect and give the call a go again.

Also try setting your phone to WCDMA only, or GSM only.

Well that's great it's fixed. As to why it fixed it... My guess is some protocol/handshake issue with SIM networks. When you switch networks, it forces the SIM to more or less reboot itself and start from scratch. You would think it would do that automatically when reinstalling the ROM, but it could be the ROM data contained previous network data. That's best way I can make sense of it.
