Can i take a backup of the current rom and just change the font file?.

For that I am not sure

When i try taking the batt out & insert usb cable mtk droid tool says connect or reconnect phone. Any ideas to a solution? Dabe.

Use kingroot app. It worked for me.

Thanks to everybody that helped me with my problem. I've sorted it now but I'm looking for a lollipop style custom ROM. I'm rooted and have philz recovery installed. Thanks in advance.
