Encryption Issue:
I got a Be Touch 2 a few days ago. I am generally happy with the device apart from one specific issue: when trying to encrypt the phone (Settings/Security/Encrypt phone), it show the Android robot and stays like that for hours, blocked and doing nothing).
After reboot, it comes back to normal but the phone is not encrypted.
I do need to have my phone encrypted.
Is that a known issue and is there something I can do to avoid it ?

I think this is a rarely tested function because so few people require it.
If the phone isn't properly encrypting, its something to do with the ROM. Not really fixable by anyone but the developers with the source.
If another user has the same phone, perhaps they can test it.

I have Ulefone Be Touch 2, Flight. I can test encryption at some point this week.

Hello Flight, the bad news is that there appears to be something wrong with encryption on Ulefone Be Touch 2. It could be that many MTK Lollipop mobiles are suffering from this, but as mentioned earlier in the thread, this is something very rarely tested by users, or by myself.
The good news is that it's not just you.
Perhaps a 3rd party encryption app which allows specific files/folders to be encrypted will work for you?
