[Question] Screen issue after auto-rooting flashing MTK6572 GT-I9500

Hi,

This is my first post, this is my problem hope somebody can help me... some days ago I tried to root my phone (GT-i9500 MTK6572) using some auto-rooting tools, but after that, one section of the screen of my phones was not working property. I made factory reset and the problem persist, then this week I tried some calibration .apk but they did not do anything to the phone. I am adding the video of the behavior of the issue. In this video you can see if you try to draw a straight line in the screen with your finger, in the bottom section of the screen the line is deformed simulating a curve.

Eek, that's too bad, unfortunately this is risky territory. Rather than just factory resetting have you tried flashing a stock rom?

Yes, I tried flashing the phone with some ROMs that I found in internet but the problem persist (I used MKDroid Tools and SP Flash Tool v5.1352.01). I read that ROMs and screen calibration (or issues) are not related due they are stored in different ICs but I don't sure of it due my experience with the auto-rooting tools that gave me this behavior in the screen. Also, I read some post in internet with this issue, they said they press "B" and the "M" is returned or something like that, I was seeing this issue then I tried to find out if there was zones in the screen with a bad behavior and I found (drawing lines) that the bottom-center section of the screen was damaged. Unfortunately, nobody gave answer to those questions, they just suggest factory reset. Any advise is welcome, maybe I will have to get a volcano-box to fix the screen, but I don't want to buy a stuff that won't fix the problem.

Hmm, well my understanding is that ROMs can include all sorts of firmware to be applied to different parts of the phone but maybe that's just drivers and how the kernel interacts with the hardware. If in fact the controller for the digitizer(input device that reads touches) isn't affected by the the ROM then the issue is either with the driver or the kernel. Nonetheless your messing with the ROM has created the issue so that is where the problem should lie,

Have you tried restoring nvram.tar nvram.bin?

You can also try a full format prior to flashing, but make sure you have nvram.tar and .bin before formatting.

Also try SP Flash Tools instead of MTK Flash Tools.
