Can we use a different battery in the iNew v3?

The process of sandpaper the battery is : sand paper on table and screw battery up sidedown on in.
Using this method there is no need to remove top part of battery or desoldering contacts.

I believe astrostar means: put the sandpaper on the table and hold it still (i.e. "screw it") and then move the battery (the top plastic part) over the sandpaper back&forth.

I did the mod yesterday and it worked for me, thanks for the advice! The battery is a little tight now, I need to pry with something if I want to extract it but it's fine (isn't hard).

I realized that when I use thl w8 battery a dark area appears on the screen (similar to [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register] but smaller). If I switch to stock battery the screen seems to be ok.

Someone got the same problem? What can be causing this? Any ideas?

edit: I just realized that with the stock battery the dark area is also slightly visible, but more loose.

Two days ago I have installed THL W8 2000mAh battery to my iNew V3, Then charged it to 100% (phisically to 82% ? ) and this is a result for now.

What do you mean about battery consumption use ? If i was using iNew like I am using normally ? Of course.

20 calls, a lot of sms, carmaggeddon for about 30 minutes, on the end WI-FI (updates). A little bit network connection (for hangouts, mail and chrome)

I haven't use GPS for 3 days.

I think you were right. At the end I kept with the thl w8 battery.. is far better and the dark area isn't very perceptible.
