Kokuo I have a question: Did you remove just part of the plastic on the top where the contacts are? is it made of two parts? because Nikstar's photo shows it totally removed and there's a nasty part sticking out all along the middle part.
If you mod another battery, can you take close-up, still photos of where you "cut" the top palstic on the battery?
The bottom and sticker seem easy enough.
Thanks!

Hi,
I've checked the Cubot X6 battery and it is not usable on the inew v3 because:
1) has the + and - switched
2) It's thicker than the stock one
3) It's shorter (but this is fixable).
It's a shame because the Cubot X6 battery is a 2200mah battery.
Cheers
kok

I converted and installed with success a THL 8W battery adapted in a simple way:
.Brand sticker removed
.bottom black plastick cover removed and then clean the remaining glue with alcool
.top part of battery scratched with sand paper till it fits.
The process of sandpaper the battery is : sand paper on table and screw battery up sidedown on in.
Using this method there is no need to remove top part of battery or desoldering contacts.
Test report... over two days of normal with games, movies, gps....
I confirm it a big difference.
