I found no patch, that this feature is running.
Anyone find a solution ?

To set everything up, follow those steps :
- Launch the app (lol) and don't follow the wizard, we'll do things mannualy
- Menu/Manual graph edit : enter the following values (without the //comments) :
Code: Pt: 0 40 //because 0 is needed
Pt: 800 40 //interior
Pt: 900 100 //exterior, shadow
Pt: 1100 255 //exterior, sun
...and press OK.
Now, because it seems to output pretty random values, we'll smooth them A LOT. Go into menu/settings, then :
Code: Automatic brightness ON
Disable system handler ON
Brightness sensor ON
Proximity sensor OFF
Screen-on sensor value override 10
Additional brightness : NO
Brightness change sensitivity 0%
Smoothing time 500
Smoothing time downwards 30 000
Smoothing override 30%
Superdim 0
Then press back, and you're all done !

Hi iakinthos,
thank you for this quick feedback:
If I installed the Auto Brightness App in the main screen always
show the "Current light reading" 800 / 10240 lux 0,13 mA and
nothing changed, if I changed die Brightness.
Should this value different by brightness changes ?
Result at the moment with your Values in the setting:
Display no auto brightness.
Could it be the problem, that I from 4.1 to 4.2 I made no wipe data and cache ?

The problem is that practically speaking there are only 3 stop points on 4.2.1. Stock 4.1.2 had at least 6 practical stop points. If there were at least five stop points (darkness, normal indoor lighting, bright indoors/cloudy daylight,in the shade bright day,in the sun), it would be great. I can't imagine what they're thinking, but 3 stop points is what we have.
Here are the settings I use. The stop points the same as iankinthos, except I set the brightness levels slightly differently. This up to personal taste. My main concern is not having to adjust when I step from normal indoor lighting into bright day shade or daylight.
Code: 0 40
800 40
900 150
1100 255
You can set the 2nd column of numbers to whatever brightness suits you personally.
The other settings are the same as what iankinthos has, but Gizbeat set both smoothing times to 4000ms and set the override to 0%.
(copying and pasting from iankinthos)
Code: Automatic brightness ON
Disable system handler ON
Brightness sensor ON
Proximity sensor OFF
Screen-on sensor value override 10
Additional brightness : NO
Brightness change sensitivity 0%
Smoothing time 4000
Smoothing time downwards 4000
Smoothing override 0%
Superdim 0
All credit goes to iankinthos for this. I just changed the settings to taste.

I used this for ZOPO ZP950+, and it did work slightly. After switching between brightness mode, the app has no effect again.
Maybe try an app called "Twilight", and just "dim the brightness" to the max, and the rest to 0%
hope it helps

If you set the settings correctly, it will work fine. Obviously if you use a different app or manually take control of the system brightness you will have to start the app again.
Twilight is interesting, but it's function is changing brightness according to time, not conditions.

Hi Users,
for the Android 4.2 from the XDA page the following values are suggested:
Version 4.2 :
Pt: 0 40 //because 0 is needed
Pt: 800 40 //interior
Pt: 900 100 //exterior, shadow
Pt: 1100 255 //exterior, sun
Ciao
