I have heard from a friend that it is possible to connect old console controllers to your android for having a "portable console"-option for travels and trips. Anyone with experience of the requirements of hardware (do you need any adaptors?) and software?
I am using a Zopo C2 with 2gb ram and the MKT6589T chip if it is any help!

You're quite lucky, as the Zopo C2 does support OTG. You just need an OTG adapter. You can find them on eBay or Amazon.
There are many USB controllers that are compatible with Android OTG. A PS3 SixAxis is maybe best for compatibility.
Then use an emulator that supports controllers to play old school games. Or play games from Play that are controller compatible.
If you're rooted, you can also check out this app for mapping the gamepad to games and apps that weren't necessarily made to work with game pads.

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth

You can as well try the ipega wireless gamepads that really transform your android phone into a portable console. They sell about 20-30$ on ebay.

Holy oley, that gamepad looks awesome! I am going to try to hunt one of those down and get it working on my new 809T. Thanks for the video!

Last night, I just joined the ranks of you guys. At the recommendation of @usblaidas I purchased the ipega PG-9025. The 6.0" THL T200C fits perfectly in it. My decline from adulthood and back into a 9 year old with a Game Boy has begun.
Now to figure out how to get The Legend of Zelda on this doohickey....

Star S7589 | MTK6589 | 1GB / 8GB | 5.8"
THL T200C | MTK6592W | 2GB / 16GB | 6.0"
Mlais M52 | MTK6752 | 2GB / 16GB | 5.5"
innos D6000 | MSM8939 | 3GB / 32GB | 5.2"
Asus Zenfone 2 | Z2560 | 2GB / 16GB | 5.5"

Thanks to some help from a forum member here, I got The Legend of Zelda up and running last night. ...Then I proceeded to die like 9 times. Turns out, my video game skills have not improved significantly from 25 years ago.
