[NBC News] 10 reasons Android beats iOS 7
#1
Quote:Six years after the first iPhone launched, Apple has finally made some major changes to the look and feel of its mobile operating system. Most of these improvements — including the new Notification Center, quick multitasking and Wi-Fi direct transfers — have been available on Android devices for years. So, if you wanted to transfer files quickly between phones, you could have done that just by tapping them together as long ago as 2011 . If you wanted to move quickly and easily between open apps, Android has provided a really great task-switching menu since version 4.0.....

apple was the innovator and therefor got the most of the spoils. A lot of people still think that apple is the best out there just because apple was the first.

They are not alone. Google Nexuses don't have SD slot either. One of the reasons I sold my Nexus 4.

This was one of the features that nearly made me not buy a Nexus 4 at all. I understand that Google wants to encourage more people to use the cloud. I agree that there's freedom, power, and progress to be gained with the cloud. I just wish that choice was left to the consumer rather than decided for them.

I won't say ios beats android because I love android os. But what is undeniable is the apple make GOOD quality hardware. Iphones, Ipads and Ipods are incredibly sturdy (Ipad fell off 1st floor and screen didn't break (through a shielded case though). But each time something bad happens to an apple device (from what I've seen and in a reasonnable way), the touchscreen still works. I dropped a transformer pad from a coffee table (30cm high) and everything broke (screen, touchcreen and power --> repair costs as much as the tablet --> trash).

But yes, Android OS is way better than IOS imho.
