UK is WCDMA 2100. Some areas of Europe are 900, but mostly 2100.
Most 4G LTE phones from China cover Euro and UK. (usually bands 1/3/7/20)

Sorry, I got the frequencies from a world table on Wikipedia.

This depends on which frequencies you mean. UK LTE (4g) is 7/20/42/43 (2600/800/3500/3700). WCDMA (3g) is 900/2100. GSM (2g) is 900/1800.

Thanks for all your replies and suggestions, but it looks like I've opened a real Pandoras box for myself. From narrowing my search for the ideal phone down to just 2 handsets, I'm now seriously looking at a number of phones from different manufacturers but all with the possible "flagship killer 2015/2016". But strange as it may seem, the OnePlus 2 isn't one of them.
I'm seriously considering the LeTV S1 Pro, which seems like a top class piece of kit, with a price tag to match. And I've found myself also leaning towards Elephone again, but no longer the P8000. I am talking about the elusive Vowney (model A) which if it does hit the street (or rather, Internet) at the touted price of $299, it will certainly have oneplus looking over its shoulder, in the far east at least. But having missed its June release date, and with no sign of it arriving any time soon, it may be "the one that got away" for Elephone.

Perfect phone for good price.
Is my second zopo and i can say, no problems sofar.
Are you joking?
Don't get zp999. GPS doesn't work and usb board finish to work after 9 months from that I buy it.
Good performance but old 32bit socket.
Now there are a lot of better phones with half price and same performance.
Another thing, zopo abandoned to support this device after 2 months from the exit.

Have you made decision yet?
You mentioned LeTv as a potential choice and i found that some sites made a huge discount on LeTv One, version with MTK Xelio chip which is also great, and now
16Gb version costs only 190$.
I think this is best buy currently, phone is very good.
Only flaw is that it doesnt have much comunity support, as I found there is no 5.1 ROM.

Community support isn't a real problem. The only problem is it comes with the usual Chinese phone no app drawer on the system rom. The Chinese phone manufacturers need to realise that, if it ain't an iphone, it ain't an iphone. The handset itself has literally no match, and that includes the S6, S6 Edge or S6 Edge Plus. But it is only the 32gb only version which has dropped in price and the 64gb, if you can find it, is still on sale for $475+.
But all the same, it looks like there may be something BIG on the way forcing these price cuts.
So I'm still undecided.

Install Apex or Nova, and/or use one of these app drawers. They're better than stock Android home and app drawer solution anyways.

Nothing big on the way, just a lot of competition.

Which phone are you talking about? LeTv One? That Helio chip uses some serious juice. Xiaomi Note 2 users getting 4 hours or less screen on time with 3000mAh. Not necessarily the chip's fault, but it's the likely culprit.
