Kitkat for haipai a9500

Hi.

I've been trying to find a kitkat 4.4.4 rom for my haipai a9500 (Alps a9500) mtk6582 device, but it seems impossible. If anyone has or know of one (preferably with link for download) I'd be extremely happy.

I just poked around NeedROM but only found Jelly Bean 4.2.2

Is there a specific reason you're looking for KitKat?

Yes I got the same conclusion when I poked around as well.

Well, first of all it is a better os in terms of both performance and appearance.

Second, I used to have a Motorola defy running kitkat so the natural selection for me is the same on my a9500, especially since it's a newer and better performing device.

I think you can still install a KitKat launcher if you're just looking for the user interface experience.

It seems to be a growing consensus here that KitKat is maddeningly restrictive in regards to rights management, so a lot of the tweakers have come to prefer Jelly Bean.

Well, the restrictions for external sd-card and other issues on kitkat is not that big of a deal for me, but there are other aspects of kitkat besides the ui that i would want.

I've seen threads on a few forums about porting roms to allmost any device, but it does come with some bug-hunting afterwards and I'm no dev, so i have no experience in that.
