[How-To] ROM Flash
#1
Hi...
After a lot of search and digging I found out the Actual manufacturer of my iberry Auxus A1 phone.......it is chinese company Mlais and Model is M9.

I downloaded the ROM from the links that they had given.....http://www.mlais.com/html/201411/content_170.html

But when I tried to flash this Mlais ROM to my Phone I got the Error PMT error.....download.....
The only difference in the File sizes is in the following files:

APDB_MT6592_S01_KK1.MP1_ Auxus File is 159KB and Mlais is 160KB
Logo.bin Auxus File is 265KB and Mlais File is 280KB
System Disc Image file Auxus is 599906KB and Mlias is 571558KB
User Data Disc Image file Auxus is 21281KB and Mlais is 35497KB

I would be very grateful....if you could guide me how to flash this Mlais ROM ....I tried the SP Flash Tool v5.1348.00

Any help / info will be highly appreciated.

Thanks

I have compared the Specifications ....to my untrained and non-technical eye......the specifications.....physical attributes.......etc all seem the same.

I must add that in the ROM file downloaded from Mlais site.....there is an additional file by the name ........custom.disc image file of 5045 KB.

Hope this helps

Hi indtram !

Are you sure that the Mlais M9 firmware is compatible for your device too ? However, I've visited the link that you've written here. Do you have downloaded the zip called "Software upgrade instructions" ?

:-)

You THINK that they are the same ! Be careful because to flash a wrong rom could brick your device !
However, before to do a test ... did you have made a full backup of your device into your microSD like I've suggested you in the thread of my tutorial about Philz ?

Yup...backed up the ROM on SD Card and saved a copy of the same on the computer also.......

can you also look at the specifications of both the phones.....in the links that I have sent........It will be very helpful

Desolated for my late reply ... I was at the phone with my partner ... tomorrow the Expo will start :-)
I have somewhat to say to you : Please explain me why you want to flash an unsafe firmware.
Does your device works well with the current rom ? If your device works well ... why are you willing to risk to brick your device ? There're a lot of things to understand about your device. For example :
1) to learn how to use Xposed Framework and Xposed modules repository.
2) to learn how to explore the entire folders of your Android device with a valid file manager.
3) to learn how to increase the different volumes of your device with Mobileuncle.
4) to learn how to make custom ringtones and how to make them in loop (without soundless seconds).
5) to learn how to make boot animation.
And then, There is no real reason to flash random firmwares and unnecessary risks to damage your device !

Do you have installed a valid file manager apk ? (point number 2)

:-)

I think you have a very valid point.......and I take your advice and abandon the ill conceived plan to flash the Mlais M9 ROM onto my phone..

Thanks a lot for all the help and your valuable time.

Wishing you the best for the expo.

Thanxxx

Remember to make a full backup (into your microSD) at least once every two months.
The updates are downloaded often by Android ... so you will always have full backups with the updates ... and every time you will not have to download updates after restoring your device.

Hugs :-)
