[How-To] ** KitKat Android - SDCard write Problem solved! **
#1
@KitKat User,

Hello,

I can hear many People "cry" for KitKat or the newer Lollipop! They don't inform before, how KitKat or Lollipop works.

First is some restrictions but the important is - if you like to store some music or Pictures on your SDCard, you have problems to save it. Android has cancelled to write on your removable SDCard.

I found a way to store music, Picture, Documents etc.

First you have to install the xposed installer. - then the KitKat write Modul and activate them. After reboot you have access like before.

Enclosed you will found a link with Xposed Installer and many more. Read this or install only what you need.

only for KitKat:

In PlayStore I found the App SD KitKat Fixer. I don't have tested it. Maybe more Apps are available.

Good luck and all at your own Risk.

Louis777

Remark: I recomended - stay on Android 4.1 or 4.2.2. This Versions runs a long time and no big Failure are well known. By my self, I use 4-5 Android 4.2.2 and about 150-200 Apps installed. No "hangs" no Problems. I use MT 6589T and most MT6582!
only 4 MT6592 OctaCore. All Android works great with Carliv CWM 2.5/v6! I use Transcend SDCards!
.... it is your decision!

Thanks for this big tip @louis777

Haha. Crying for Lollipop. Where's my lollipop!? Drool

Seriously. I notice no difference between JB and KitKat usage wise. I read lollipop new "features". Lame is probably too light of a descriptor. If you're on Jelly Bean or above, you are golden. Most major phones will not even see lollipop for many months to come. Sony is still working out major bugs with 4.4.2.

KitKat has much better memory management (and usage) than JB. KitKat's performance is also much better than JB though you have to access a hidden feature - you must change the default runtime to ART which makes apps much faster than they are with Dalvik. ART is pretty good even though it was experimental in KK.

Basically, ART ditches the Just In Time compiling of apps that Dalvik does. Every app made for android is a compilation of code in a 'generic' package that can be executed on any Android phone. The downside with this is that most apps are not optimized for specific phones (that's why apps on iOS and Windows run so well - they are designed for specific phones or are written in native code - not compiled code). What Dalvik VM does is compile an app's code into native (machine) code which a phone can execute. It uses Just In Time compilation which means that it has to turn an app into native code every time it is run and that is a very resource-heavy activity. I'm talking battery life and performance (smoothness + load times).

ART does the compilation when you are installing the app. This way, every time you run an app, it is already available in native code hence no need to use CPU cycles and battery power to compile it. If you use ART, you will definitely notice a big performance improvement. Unfortunately not all apps are ART compatible at the moment but very soon developers have to optimize their apps to run on ART because it is now the one and only runtime in Android Lollipop.

ART in Lollipop is not the same as ART in KitKat either. In Lollipop, ART has much better performance and it is better optimized compared to the one in KitKat. The last time that Google released an better version of ART in KitKat was December 5th 2013. That means they have had almost a year to improve and optimize it to make it the default runtime in Lollipop.

Yet another feature you can't ignore in Lollipop is project Volta. It is aimed at improving battery life in Android and the results are quite spectacular.

It's great to see Google trying to make its OS run better without forcing manufacturers to frequently beef up their hardware.
+REP if this is a helpful post.Think I deserve more? Why not donate some points? Wanna fight?
