Welcome to the forum! Any plan to upgrade in the future? This is an awesome time to be into China phones. So many good options compared to last year.

I'm not a fan of clones, but I guess this will be difficult to pull off. The curved screen is not going to be easy or cheap to copy. Not impossible though I guess. I haven't heard of any being released yet.

I mean... Many good Chinese phones. But the clones (copies of Samsung / copies of iPhone and stuff like that) I don't really like.
There are a lot of good and powerful phones for a good price now. Look at Mlais M52, or THL 4000, or Elephone P6000 and new P3000S is coming with MT6752 in mid-april.

All those phones have 850/900/1800/1900 2G and 850/900/1900/2100 3G. Some areas of T-Mobile require 1700 for 3G, but many areas will be okay on just 1900. They will be compatible on all AT&T and AT&T MVNO too. (AT&T is 3G 850 or 1900).
I have THL 4000 and it's very good. Cheapest, amazing battery, but not as powerful and screen not as big as the other ones mentioned by @cookiedough .

Well if you switch to AT&T, you will be sure to have 3G. Many areas are covered by 1900 3G with T-Mobile.. But not all. You can test first. If it doesn't work, switch to AT&T. There are a lot of cheap AT&T MVNO... AirVoice etc...
