If you're trying to control the brightness from the sliders, you're not following the steps.

Follow the tutorial iakinthos wrote and you'll be fine, though I suggest a different setting for downward smoothing. 2000-10000 ms

No Alam, this is just an app that reads the brightness level reported by Android and sets the brightness accordingly.

These patches are not recommended. I haven't posted them because they are very specific. They must be for the exact firmware you're on otherwise you will get bricked.

Even when they do work they usually don't do more than what Velis app does.

Also the patches are often incorrectly labelled or not labelled at all, then they get spread around the net.
