I saw a phone I would like to buy at Gearbest. Are they reliable? How are they at solving problems / customer care? Thank you.

They wouldn't be here if we had problems. Customer care... Is as good as you'll get in this business.

I'll echo what NexusTrix said.
Our site admin is incredibly serious at only keeping the very best sellers as site sponsors, and GearBest happens to be one of those. Also, being that they're a sponsor, we have some communication with them and can help make sure they treat our members well.
If it helps lower the price of your purchase, don't forget to use the "chinaphonearena" coupon code. If the phone isn't already discounted through other means it might be able to save you a few bucks.

one word of caution here. GB customer support depends on how great the maker support is, not the other way around. And is true of all sellers.
My advice don't buy some cheap phone....that has no official roms at needrom.
That way you can use windows (EEK) and flashtools to hopefully recover from your mis-adventures
Ask them to confirm it only uses the following filesystems
ext4
vfat (fat)
we have a forum about buying phones so why not name the phone and link to it?
we may have members willing to share their experience of the phone tho may not have bought from GB?
good luck

(known Chinese brands, I mean) I just wanted a cheap phone for my young niece to do normal phoning, whatsapp and wechat with friends, nothing major.
Also I wanted to test the waters before I buy an reasonable priced phone. I thank you very much for your input. It is very much appreciated. I am not bold enough to mess with the phone. What I do is just normal rooting to force programs to be saved on an SD card.
I also understand now that Customer service may depend on the supplier Gearbest bought the phone from.
The phone is already discounted. I have bought thank you for your advice. I will surely consider it when buying again.

@25sents , if you used the coupon code, will bring it down to $58. If you can afford a bit more, the DG310 is an excellent bargain - $87.
Regardless, let us know our order # and I'll make our contact aware of the order.

And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could

@Gizbeat. I missed the coupon code and I have already placed the order. I can't afford the DG310 at the moment. Should I post the order number here?

This is an update on order WW1409161230349068. I received the phone yesterday. I have not had time to test it yet. It arrived in my country on the 10.10.2014, but due to a four month strike at the Post Office parcels could not be delivered. It took twenty four days I think, to arrive in my country from when the order was placed, which is very reasonable for normal shipping. Thank you very much for your assistance.
