[Question] 10 Inch Tablet PC 3G 4G Lte Octa Core 4GB RAM 64GB ROM FAKE OR NOT?

Hello,i want to buy this tablet.

10 Inch Tablet PC 3G 4G Lte Octa Core 4GB RAM 64GB ROM Dual SIM 8.0MP Android 6.0 GPS 1920*1200 HD IPS Tablet PC 10"

It says that the tablet has 4gb of ram and 64gb rom/internal memory,plus 3g and 4g.

Has anyone bought one of these tablets and tested that they have 64gb of rom and 4gb of ram?

The items description says that the brand name ZFINER and the model T900s and the processor manufacture MTK and the processor model MTK8752 Octa Core

Can anyone confirm that the tablet has 8 cores and 4gb of ram plus 64gb of rom your help is much appreciated

Sadly this style of tablet is part of many fakes. You can search this forum for Jlinksz, or MTK bricked tablet, or Chinese bricked tablet need rom.

What the sellers do is modify or "spoof" the specifications in order to get a higher price.

Usually these tablets
-are 1 core, or 2 core,
-have a very low MTK processor not MT6592 or something fantastic
-have very low camera resolution 480 x 640
-bare minimum memory and space
-added GSM capabilities

Once the sellers get the base model from the manufacturer, they overlay a small spammy program called 'Antutu' onto the tablet where they then change the 'display settings'.

What I mean by display settings is they change the base specs, to specs that are what the market/buyer wants and therefore increasing the price and their margin, while selling fake or spoofed tablets. You are none the wiser until you brick your tablet by rooting it or run out of memory after 1gb or space after 16gb.

In simple terms you're getting a trogen horse. You cannot remove Antutu spammy application and when you do check the specs on your tablet or send it to specdevice to check, it will confirm 8-core, MTK8592, 126G RAM, 64gb ROM, 128gb RAM etc and NOT the base specs which is really what your tablet is.

If you want a base spec tablet, don't pay the price for a spoofed tablet.

If you want a genuine spec tablet don't buy the one you linked to, or any of them that look the same. They come in 9.6', 9.7', 10.1' and they all look the same. Same with Alibaba, Aliexpress, ebay and Taobao

DHGate don't do much to regulate these sellers. They are like phoenix companies and when they get a few bad reviews they close their store and start a new one on DHGate. I have experience with my last bricked tablet. I bought one that was exactly the same as your link, it is now bricked, the seller on DHgate closed their store and has not been heard from. DHgate did not help me, they kept closing my ticket. My credit card company is now trying to recover my money.

If you do buy and don't care about the spoofed settings and are happy to pay higher prices for a base model that is fake, do NOT root your tablet because this will brick it.
