@danyno1, there are 3 different versions of 1.08 in baidu.com which one did you use to make your ROM rooted and CWM recovery? i could try other and check the GPS. In that case, how can i root the stock version?

The History of my phone's roms are: 1.0.1, 1.0.3, Lewa, 1.0.3, 1.0.4 Plus, 1.0.8.
All the roms was installed through recovery, except the last one.

You try to leave the phone in the open sky to include GPS and WiFi, but 30 minutes using YGPS then you are on the screen and see what happens.
A second test, restart your phone 3-4 times with GPS and WiFi must turn on.
Yesterday i installed v 1.0.8 and the first test is enhanced slow gps and now is a good and fast work and finds satellites like to v 1.0.4 I do not use any GPS fix and navigation app, just test it on Google Maps, and accurately reflects my place

Hi guys,
so it seems that one of the iNew V3 I have here cannot be upgraded to ROM 1.0.8

Facts:

Driver installed and using Windows 8.1 on a 64bit machine.

1) Flash of ROM 1.0.8 on first iNew V3 coming from 2nd batch (25th feb baseband phones) with ROM 1.0.1 - SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1343.01 - OK

2) Flash of ROM 1.0.8 on second iNew V3 coming from 1st batch (2013) with ROM 1.0.4 - SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1343.01 - OK

3) Now, for the third iNew V3 (coming from 1st batch (2013) with ROM 1.0.4), I've tried without luck:

SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1343.01
SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1344.0.212
SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1332.0.187

but always get error message "DA_MEM_CMD" when using Firmware Upgrade.

I've also tried without preloader, mbr, user cache using "Download" option without success. Please also note that I don't have any problem flashing 1.0.4 or 1.0.5 firmwares on this phone.

Any idea?

I managed to do it

Here you have the steps, in case you will stumble on the same issue:

1) SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1344.0.212
2) Load scatter file
3) Select Format
4) Leave "without bootloader and start format
5) Once done, Disconnect the phone, remove battery
6) Select Download on SP FT and start the flashing
7) Use MTK Droid Tool to restore the IMEIs
7) Profit

Hi there guys.
I´ve been folowing this thread in the past days and i´ve realized that there´s been some big problems with some of your phones and this fw version.
Before this update i was on 1.0.4 ofw /rooted and my inew v3 was with a lot of bugs as you all know and experienced in your own phones.

Today i had the time and put this 1.0.8 on my inew and it as been a great change. The first things i´ve tried with 1.0.8 fw where gsm calls, sms, app store and the usual stuff, all worked great, very fast multitasking, now was time to test the GPS, i was afraid because of all the feedback in the forum, but for my surprise everything it is working 100%, i just launch my gps app and he connects in a sec. way more fast than before.

The biggest changes that i also noticed where on the wireless signal, OMG, with 1.0.4fw in my bedrom my inew didn´t even connect to my network, now it shows me 3 signal bars this was huge for me.
The last but not the least is the camera update to f/2,0, i can confirm with 100% sure that the camera is f/2,0, huge improvement.
The battery i will be testing it tomorrow with more accure results because this is a big problem that needs to be solved.

I think the guys over iNew are doing a good job, i know it´s bad for not to have fw changelogs, download places are in chinese, 3 versions of same firmware (WTF) and almost no support from them, but they are working and that´s all that matters in the end.

This was my little review of this firmware version and my final point is that all of you should update to 1.0.8 asap.

GPS in 1.0.8 is working perfectly, but I use stock 1.0.8 rom which you can find on [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]&id=200000271
I updated it from 1.0.4 with flashtools.
