The Camel walks again - and I'm sure you know what that means!!
Thank you very much Solim, sorry for not replying earlier, but I did not know you had replied, as I didn’t receive a notification.
Finally, my phone is no longer 'bricked', but the problem was not the ROM, as I had originally thought. Once I got it flashed and booted up, it still had problems doing the final updating, so I plugged it back into the mains charger and it showed 0% charged, despite having been on charge from the mains charger for hours before flashing! It then took ages on charge before even getting to 1%. After that, it seemed to charge as normal.
I did use your ROM, thanks, but although the 2.4 abroad ROM I tried before didn't work, I think this was simply because the battery did not have enough power to finish the flash, as I cannot see any difference between that code and what you sent me the link for.
I can only assume that the problem all along was that of the phone running out of battery power while trying to flash it (hence stopping part way through). I don't have a removable battery, just the internal one and this had worked fine and had good charge before bricking it with the 3.2 ROM. I had it connected to the mains charger for hours while bricked, but it does not seem to have charged properly, so maybe the charging circuit controller does not work in this mode and possibly it reverts to a low current 'PC-USB' type charging mode(?). Obviously, while bricked, there was no indication of battery level (or anything else), so I just had to assume that the battery was charging OK - but clearly it wasn't.
So, if you are planning to flash a bricked D6000, leave it plugged into the mains charger all day before you try! If it stops part way through, it probably still doesn't have enough charge!
Anyway, it is now working, but I am yet to decide which ROM to use. 2.4 works fine and also 2.6, which I think I'll most likely go back to. The others I have tried have major problems. Originally, it had 3.0, which worked fine, apart from a few minor problems, which I now know I could have fixed - I wish I had just kept that! I have since tried 3.0 again (but it is clearly not the same EU/Abroad version as my original) and 3.2 again, which installed without any problems this time. However, it started with a home screen with no apps and needed a factory reset. I'm still experimenting with this, but it is a bit odd and proving very problematic so far, not least the fact that my SIM phone number is reported wrongly and doesn’t connect!
Anyway, thanks again for your help. If you could send me a link to the 2.6 Abroad ROM (or anything later that works properly!), that would be very helpful.
