How to Root my Star X920

Hello, I am new to this forum, and new to Android phones ( I have a Star -Tengada x920 with version 4.21. Model e2001v21_v89_zlh_hd. Although I cannot use this phone in Canada, I will use it for the wi-fi and apps.
My problem is, when I connect to my PC via usb the device does not show up as an external drive ( I have an 8 gb sim card installed) nor does it show in the device manager.
The phone is excellent for the uses I want, but unless I can transfer files via usb, it defeats the purpose.
