I just owned a numy note7, awesome spec device btw.
i am rooted, even with the sticker still on. as it was suppose to be a gift
your problem is you cant enter MTK preloader mode.
there is a different USB driver for that. mostly SPF tools works with that mode.
the suggestion by experts also correct, you have to understand the basic rooting thread first.
there are minor differences between MTK devices but in general they work similarly.
without basic understanding on rooting and or their tools, it is very risky to try anything.
