I have tested my own CTR for my model for nvram and written a tutorial on it in the tutorials forum.
If you have time....please at least make a backup of your nvram using the backup option in the carliv menu.
I can not prove your restore will work but I can at least semi-prove yours may work by running a strings command against the resultant nvram.img that you might upload for me to look at?
